Quality Hotel Bordeaux Centre

The property was very very clean and at a prime location. It’s easy to walk everywhere and tram station is just a few minutes away. The staff was very kind and helpful and at our last day, even though the had a lot of arrivals, they let us have the room for another hour, something very helpful for us! Thank you ladies! The room was nicely decorated and the cleaning staff did an excellent work as well! The rooms were air conditioned, something really great as the days that we were there it was 40-41 degrees celcuis Definitely one of the best choices for old town Bordeaux!

Our room has a carpet on the floor which, even though it seamed clean, it’s something that hotels have stopped due to the infections it may convey. Plus our rooms air-condition was noisy, something very difficult for me..

The location is superb, with a lot of fancy places nearby, both restaurant and landmarks. The hotel in general features a modern but warm atmosphere in downtown Bordeaux. My room was small but everything was there, with also complementary bath set and breakfast set. One morning I had the breakfast, which I found very complete, with sweet and salty choices. The wifi works very well

I had a continuous noise in my room, like a fan. Anyway it was not loud and it works as white noise, making me sleep well, so I didn't complain to the reception about this. The room service switches on the AC every day: it was a waste of energy and, moreover, I found the room frozen.

Location of the hotel is superb! It is right in the central old town part of Bordeaux, where all the historic buildings and fabulous restaurants, cafes and bars are, which means you can explore at your leisure whilst popping back to the hotel whenever you need to freshen up. Despite so central the hotel was extremely quiet, and not once were we bothered by any sounds from the streets outside, nor from inside the hotel. The staff at the hotel were super friendly and full of great advice, and the hotel has a very relaxing ground floor bar and lounge, which was quiet and inviting.

Breakfast at the hotel was okay, but not brilliant. This is no bother though, since it is a pleasure to find breakfast in any of the multitude of cafes in historic streets outside anyway.

The hotel was bang smack in the middle of where everything is. It was a quiet spot tho busy outside situated on a small pedestrianised lane off St Catherine’s. The front of house staff were all young ladies who were lovely and knew their stuff especially how to mix a killer gin and tonic. It was a 3 minute walk to the Bourse and the river cruises and probably the same to the Information centre as well.

I thought that the breakfast was a bit ordinary ( the hot dishes) but the breakfast room was delightful. Just a whinge - but I like a top sheet - obviously I’m in the minority!

The location is excellent, right off the main shopping street Sainte Catherine but still quiet, lots of restaurants, shops, bars, and tourism nearby. The room was spacious and the staff was very friendly and helpful, manning the front desk constantly. There is a bar and lounge in the lobby that we didn't use but is a good meeting place if your group is staying in several rooms. Even though there is no restaurant associated with the hotel there was still a room service option.

The bathtub was quite high off the floor, people with balance issues or slightly more limited mobility might have trouble stepping out of the shower.

One of the best hotels I've stayed at. - Super clean room and Hotel. Well thought-out room and spacious bathroom, everything working/nothing damaged. - Room was VERY quiet and bed was very comfortable & big. Above all staff was very helpful (even in English - not that common in France). Decent buffet breakfast (for €16) including Lactose-free Milk (again, not easy to find in France). - Excellent Location - Free gym available just 2mins down the road. - Payment made after stay, this is appreciated - that's how it should be, not like other hotels. A++ Totally recommended!

- Air-conditioning quite noisy. - Door Locks noisy too (normal in Hotels though) however can be improved. - 5 Steps upon entrance (luggage). - TV had only 1 channel in English - all in French, German or Spanish. - No socket outlet near one of the bedside tables. Other one OK. - It was not at all cheap at €175 per night

Excellent location - really central. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. It was great to have a Nespresso machine in the room. The Monoprix around the corner meant we could fill up the fridge with lots of fruit, drinks and snacks.

The only complaint I have is that our bathroom had a tub instead of a shower. The tub has a high wall and there are no handrails to hold onto to get in and out. With slippery surfaces, this is a real hazard and my husband, who has balance issues, had to struggle to get in and out of it. The hotel must invest in handrails where they still have tubs. Ask for a room with a shower. They do have them.

Front desk personnel were exceptional. Always helpful especially with English speaking. The location was perfect and within walking distance to many highlights, shopping and tram. Bed was very comfortable and after a long flight from the US we slept perfectly.

The comforter was heavy and warm for the date we stayed. We asked for a lighter blanket and they accommodated following day.Would have been nice to have available in room. When we arrived food from room service wasn't available; too late. But staff suggested something was available within a block or two which we were able to find and eat. Had we known about the rail system from the airport and that it was very close to your location we would have used it. Somehow this needs to be brought to our attention. We took a taxi from airport and driver got lost and it was very expensive.

The location is brilliant - walking distance of everything in the city and so nice to be on a pedestrian street. We toured all the vegan eateries and it was easy to get around. The shower was great, magnifying mirror in the bathroom too was a nice touch. Beds were comfortable - soft and different types of pillows. And we loved the Nespresso machine supplied with coffee in the room. 24 hour very helpful reception and the staff overall were amazing - pleasant and really helpful. Rooms are cleaned thoroughly every day. Such a lovely atmosphere in the hotel that mostly comes from the care and attention from the staff. Good selection of French TV channels in the room too! We hope to come back soon!

There is room service but there is nothing suitable for vegans on the hotel room service menu. It would be nice to have plant milk to go with coffee too! The window in our room didn't open but it was sorted out the next day. We had a twin room but the beds were very close together - fine when with family maybe not so good for travelling with a friend.

We liked the location very much. We could walk to everywhere we wanted to go in Bordeaux. Great for shopping. Lots of dining options within walking distance. And enjoying the historic city. The staff at the front desk were also very helpful. We did have one bump. We booked for a taxi to the station at 1:30 PM for the next day. I even showed the ticket on my phone for our train trip to Paris, to avoid any confusion. But we got a call at 1:30 AM. The taxi was there! The staff were very apologetic in the morning.

I hope the hotels in France pick up the practice in most hotels in Asia - a hose bidet in the bathroom. It is an easy attachment to the toilet bowl. More hygienic and saves on paper.
