Leprince Hotel Spa; Best Western Premier Collection

Location was fantastic, literally right in the town. Very clean. Breakfast looked good although we had breakfast out.

Our room was very dark. The ceilings and walls are black and the light didn’t work in the wardrobe and there was no light over the tea tray, which is a dark corner. Had to use a torch to make a cuppa! Also there was no milk on the tea tray, I appreciate they don’t take milk with drinks in Europe much but when I asked at reception if I could have some milk for my tea/coffee they said no, there was only milk for breakfast. We did find a small supermarket within a 5 mins walk so bought our own but I was really surprised they said no.

Spacious family room and parking which is not always available in city centre hotels. Staff were great very helpful and check-in was easy.  There’s a courtyard attached to the hotel which has a variety of food, options and bars, which makes it excellent if you arrive late afternoon in a new city with hungry children. Dogs are permitted in this hotel and the water bowl was provided in the room. Breakfast is continental and a little limited, but the coffee is good.

Dogs are not allowed in the breakfast area, which we didn’t realise on booking breakfast. We do normally ask, but forgot to on this occasion. Travelling in France, we normally find that more people do allow them then don’t however.

Very modern, well appointed hotel. The room was large and extremely comfortable, with excellent facilities. The hotel is perfectly positioned with on site parking. There are a number of restaurants and bars in the adjacent square, which has access onto the vibrant Place de la Republique, containing more cafes, restaurants and shops. There are tramway and tourist train stops, for those wishing to explore other areas. Part of the square had been turned into a wildflower garden with a number of seating areas, making it an enjoyable place to sit and watch the world go by.

Extremely glamorous. Beautiful, big blingy room with lots of nice touches, like fresh flowers in the room when we arrived, a little box of Le Mans biscuits on the bed, nice bottle of spring water on the bedside tables, etc. We'd left our toothpaste at home, and the receptionist gave me a little tube of it. They also booked us a table at a nearby restaurant. Great service. Surprisingly quiet for a city centre hotel too.

It was a bit warm in the room during the night and I couldn't figure out the room thermostat at all. We slept ok though. You have to pay extra for the parking (€15) which is a bit of a pain, but that's almost de rigueur in cities these days. I was hoping for a sauna (it is billed as a spa hotel) but you have to pay an eyewatering €25 per person for that, so we didn't bother. In other hotels you'd get access to that kind of facility for free, but not here. Also no swimming pool.

We didn't try the breakfast. We preferred to go to local bakeries nearby. Paul's was great! The location was very good, central to everything. The room was very clean and the coffee machine was a nice touch. The reception staff were very helpful at arranging taxi's for us and tried their very best to ensure our stay was as easy as possible. We made use of the spa and it was worth every penny as you get the whole place to yourself for the hour.

The room could have been slightly bigger.

stayed here before, great decor, beautifully clean and staff super friendly and helpful. nice little touches like mints/pastries on check in. really quirky decor and nice big carpark! excellent location to city centre with PLENTY of restaurants around the hotel.

no restaurant but several close by; require booking though else you absolutely will not get a table on a weekend. would have been handy to know this in advance. bathroom got very steamy/wet; better ventilation needed but this is really minimal compared to the quality and design of hotel.

The hotel was very contemporary, lots of dark decor, black walls etc with large colourful sculptures and paintings! very Art Deco! The receptionists were all very very friendly and helpful too which is very comforting. we stayed in a suite and and a double due to being a large family and the rooms were really nice and comfortable and very very clean! The only downside is, we stayed in the 4th floor, the lift only goes to the 3rd floor and then stairs to the 4th. This is a very very minor issue, we are a family of 6 and therefore lots of luggage but for a couple this wouldn't be an issue. A selfish guest decided to smoke in their room at 7am in the morning triggering the smoke detectors and waking us all up after a late check in (11pm). This is not the hotels fault at all however they did offer us breakfast to account for it. They didn't have to do this but it meant a lot, especially when you have young children having a lay in ;). The evacuation did however, introduce us to their BEAUTIFUL stair well. A hidden beauty!

An attractive hotel with a great location, just a short walk from the old town. The adjacent square was buzzing with nice-looking cafés and ice cream shops. Our room was fine and had plenty of power points and USB sockets. The bed was huge and comfortable, the shower was excellent and the staff were very helpful.

We were given a room on the 1st floor where the decor was very dark (black walls & carpet) and the lighting was inadequate. We discovered on departure that the rooms on the upper floors are brighter (yellow or cream décor) and I would request one of those next time. We weren't told when we checked in that the coffee machine had broken down and been removed, but that we could have called reception and they would have brought us complimentary coffees.

This hotel is the best options for where to stay in Le Mans. The hotel is in a great location, it is very beautiful all the amenities are very tasteful. The rooms are stylish and comfortable. A great place to work and relax when traveling for work. There is also a spa in the hotel, unfortunately we didn't make it. The best part was the staff, they helped us with car rental. And they helped us to catch the train. Thank you all very much. We will definitely come again. Thanks to Anna and her boss for the great service.

The staff is very helpful. The parking is right there and free. The hotel is adjacent to the hip area for affluent young people and right across the street from all the restaurants shopping and banks. It's just 5 minutes to the major historical sites and museums. The room is large with a very comfortable but bed and nice size bathroom. The breakfast is good and although you can serve yourself there is attentive table service. It's as good as many a 5 star hotel in which we have stayed in France.
