Jackotel

This was our second visit we originally booked for four nights but extended our stay by another 2 nights. If you are looking for a quiet relaxed holiday this in our opinion is ideal we spent our evenings in small square at front of the hotel watching locals playing boules also short stroll down to river front to relax and watch the world go by also plenty of shops bars cathedrals and restaurants in walking distance. We will most definitely be returning on our next road trip through France

Can’t think of anything other than no kettle in the rooms this was not a problem though as we took our own…we never take a breakfast when staying in hotels so am unable to comment quality of this

The staff was so friendly to guide us to the underground parking, which we wouldn’t have found by ourselves. The family room we got was big, comfy and quiet, and there was a lift from the carpark up to our level. We could see the tower of the church from the window! The bathroom was big with bath and bidet. The old town was reachable in a few minutes by foot. There was a good continental breakfast in an astonishing, big room with a big fireplace - in former times it was maybe the kitchens.

One plug more in the room would have been nice, so that more phones could be charged at the same time. And a small table or shelf or something similar in the bath to put our various washbags on would make it just perfect.

Very clean crispy sheets. Extremely good location, very central in the old Orleans town. I will stay again definitely. Pets friendly and free, I was traveling with my 2 large dogs.

No kettle to boil water to have “my coffee” first think in the morning. I was expecting to park in the accommodation car park, but it was full all of the time. The good thing is there was cheap and easy parking in the square where the hotel is placed (Not really cheap parking, but at the time of our arrival, the parking was then free until the morning (pay until 6 pm in the afternoon and in the morning from 9 am)

Price, parking (on site available, street parking outside is easy, and it is perfectly placed for a walk along the river, or the main eateries. Just very very easy. Breakfast was fine. It's plenty good enough and its great advantage is its location.

Clearly the place needs investment, but then they'd probably charge double.

Great location and secure parking. It's a 2 star hotel, so you'd expect it to be older and basic, which it is, but the room and bathroom were comfortable and pretty clean (couple of dusty corners in the room). They also have a lift, which was helpful. Staff were nice and welcoming.

An excellent and very good value hotel in the heart of Orleans. On site parking is a major plus given the very central location. Orleans is a surprisingly cosmopolitan city thanks to its university, next time I'll stay for longer than an overnight stop on my way south.

Not a problem for my stay, but be aware that there is no aircon which might be a issue in summer.

The best bit about this was the hostess. She was so nice helpful and friendly. She couldn’t do enough for us. The location was very good too

Hot water supply was intermittent and only a hand held shower. We would have liked a kettle in the room too.

Location was fantastic a very short walk to the river. We did not have breakfast as we are not breakfast people. Staff very welcoming . Sat up on sun terrace for a while having a glass of wine only people there was very peaceful and relaxing.

Difficult to find using sat nav but worth the time spent looking for it .

Stayed here many times the family are so friendly. Very dated but very clean roof terrace for out little dog to run around on. Excellent location 5 minutes walk to the centre of town lots of nice restaurants.

Great location close, but not noisy close to bars and good restaurants, comfortable, huge bathtub!, wonderful staff! Hotel a bit dated, but excellent value!

Adorable cat not liked much by our feline hater friend.
