Mercure Hotel Bochum City

Location is perfect, just opposite form Bochum Hauptbanhof and a few minutes walk from Bermuda3eck where all the bars, cafes and funs is. From there you can easily go to Ratthaus where all the shops are. It's an ideal place to stay in donwtown Bochum. I stayed in a single room that was very clean, comfortable and quiet. It was on the 11th floor and had a nice view of the city. The bed was perfect and large. The personel was very helpful. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.

The hotel moved the breakfast from weekend to weekdays one hour earlier without anyone warning me about it. Unfortunately I missed the breakfast on a Monday because nobody let me know about the breakfast time change.

Location is excellent, right across from the main station and in the center of the city. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. I loved the breakfast, so many options and everything was fresh and tasty. Staff was kind and helpful. The wifi was not all that stable, but it was manageable.

It was a bit noisy as the hotel is in a central location so it was expected. I didn't like the mattress too much - it was too soft for my liking, but this is personal choice. Pillows were also not too comfortable and not to my liking, but again, this is extremely personal.

The room was very cute, I especially liked the lighting which was very warm. All of the staff members we met were very friendly and helpful.

At first we didn’t have any hot water in the room, it was literally cold as ice. But we could at least change rooms the same day. In the Gym weren’t any towels or fitness mats which we would have liked, but we were still happy with the rest of the gym equipment.

Great location across the central station and close to Bochum city center. Comfortable - quiet room and very decent gym

Room was not cleaned and after asking at the reception they replied that no rooms were cleaned because of some personnel issue. Not really acceptable from such a hotel chain and without any information to their guests! However they made a kind gesture offering a free drink/snack when they brought fresh towels after requesting them in the afternoon.

Been here several times. Nice rooms, small though. Everybody loves the room service robot.

No interleading doors between rooms. We had two rooms, but walking across the floor is no issue. Not much traffic. Been here several times with family, having two rooms. Garage parking is tight if you come with a big car.

Surprisingly it was a nice hotel, a great location and very comfortable to stay in. Usually, I'm not fun of the Mercure chain, but this hotel was better than the average Mercure hotel.

They can serve better coffee in the breakfast

The hotel is very conveniently located! A few minutes to the train station, city center, restaurants! Friendly staff, varied breakfast!

Unfortunately both reading lights didn't work. It was very cold in the bathroom, ice-cold floor! No slippers or toiletries..

Everything was just fine. Especially the location, near the central station.

Well, not much. It's just a pity that the breakfast is always the same in every hotel. I expected just a bit more german breakfast instead of beans & bacon.

Very good hotel,room are very nice, very modern ,lovely decorated, very clean , comfortable beds,breakfast and staff were ok.

breakfast could be better also you have to pay for parking 21 euro per night and 15 euro per dog.

The room was very clean. Good place to stay. I can’t say anything about the breakfast, because we didn’t book it. It is possible to get a parking place, which is necessary when you have an accommodation in the city centre.

There is nothing to complain about.
