Dorint City-Hotel Bremen

The entire stay was very enjoyable from check-in to check-out. Both steps are very simple and executed professionally. There are many seats and nooks around the hotel to relax in between meals and events. The rooms and beds are very comfy. We especially liked the pillows and that the windows could be tilted for fresh air despite being on the 6th floor. The location of this hotel cannot be topped - everything most tourists will be there to see is within walking distance or a short bus ride away.

I found the previous comments on the quality of breakfast here to be inflated. Yes, there is a large selection and some nice touches like fresh honey (!) but it is still does not deviate much from a classic continental spread. You can get FAR better coffee and much more lovingly prepared food (no powdered scrambled eggs, yikes) at the surrounding cafes for the same money.

On arrival, a couple of days before the Easter weekend, they gave us a room upgrade for our 4-night stay. A great start! Very good location just outside the former old city limits, next to green space and water. The historic city centre is within very easy walking distance. Superb buffet breakfast, delicious food both hot and cold. Vast range of choices. Some tables have a view of trees and park land.

Perhaps the access to the leisure facilities could have been better signposted and better promoted. We did a lot of walking and visiting in the city and didn’t use the spa at all. Please offer clearer instructions on how the secure lift access to the lower floor works. No room service, and the hotel bar doesn’t publish its food menu, so we were a little discouraged from eating there in the evenings. There is an excellent sushi restaurant next door - you will need to book or opt for takeaway.

Loved staying at the Dorint City. Very friendly and welcoming staff and super location. Just 5-7 min. on foot with luggage to/from Bremen Hbf. And it's an easy stroll to the shopping district and the historic heart of Bremen and the Schnoor Viertel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I had signalled an early arrival and appreciated that my room was ready. A quiet room had been allocated and they offered a complimentary welcome drink at their bar too. I loved the generously sized room and comfy bed. Breakfast was a highlight with good coffee and plenty of staples and gourmet food choices on offer. However it's the smoked fish that is the big drawcard for me. I had stayed once before with my family and will definitely return on my next visit to Bremen.

The location of the hotel and the size of the room were super. We asked for a room with a bathtub and a baby cot. We got both 🤗 the baby bed was really lovely and was topped with a little Teddy Bear 🧸, that was a very nice gesture. Thank you. Also as a welcome gift at the reception, we received a voucher for a drink per person at the hotel bar.

The bathrooms were not clean. We had to move from our initial bedroom because of the bathtub and of the two rooms we could choose from, only one was clean enough. Also, why is the faucet of the sink in the bathroom soo short?! Every time we washed our hands, 60% of the water kept flowing outside of the sink and not into our hands under the tap. I guess it's a hotel thing, we've experienced the same elsewhere...🙄

The receptionists were very friendly and efficient. When we were going for a stroll, they were quick to suggest us to bring their umbrellas, as short spells of rain were likely to fall. The hotel staff were from different racial backgrounds but they all seemed to share equal tasks. The smiles they always had were genuine and not obsequious. More than anything else, the breakfast buffet included a wide range of tasty options. We felt recharged after staying in this hotel. Highly recommended.

Location is great, you can reach the central train station, the city center and the tram stop in no time, as well as the park after crossing the bridge into de city center. I did not have breakfast at the hotel and my room was very nice, in size, cleanliness and with a great view to the citz.

The fact that the hotel kitchen, according to strict german rules, closes unmercifully at 9:00pm. S, if you want something to eat at 9:01pm you have to walk to the main station and get something.

Very valuable stay at this hotel. Staff is very professional. Bar is nice atmosphere and staff is very friendly of bar. Not so expensive of fee of stay. The quality of breakfast is also good. Location of hotel is good for sightseeing because there is out of old city which is noisy aria but very close. It takes 15 mins a walk. Bremen is small town.

This hotel doesn't have parking space. so you need to park the public space. I recommend to come to the front of the hotel first and put out your luggage. It is allowed to park a bit long time I think.

Nice hotel, with spacious and comfortable room and elegant installations. Staff was very kind in keeping our luggages before check-in and providing a late check-out. We received also free drinks and a bottle of water as cortesy when we arrived. Breakfast is recommended. I was very satisfied with my stay and hope to come back in another Dorint hotels.

The location is conveniently near to the banhof, but not so close to the city center (15 minutes walking)

The internet was very fast enough for cloud gaming. The staff is very polite! The Sauna was very hot and the car wash shower in the spa is fun. I was able to arrange a very late checkout that was very cool.

The pillows where basically little feather bags. Not very comfortable. The blanket was too small for 2 people. The air condition made the air very dry. I had to open the window to survive the night.

The staff was very friendly and helpful with all of our request. They gave us a clean and spacious room in the last floor with an nice view, as we had requested. The location is in-between the train station an der he Altstadt, 5 minutes from both on foot, next to a riverpark and a graphic windmill. We usually book rooms with breakfast and we did so this time as well. We were amazed! It is easily the best breakfast we had (chain hotel or not) in years. Nothing was missing, from pancakes to omelet, large variety of fruits, filter coffee on the table and espresso machine, 7+ types of breads, croissants (I even noticed an alcohol corner - that was a first), everything was fresh and refilled instantly. For full disclosure the price was higher than we usually pay (up to 120€/night). For 2+1 (6 yo) with breakfast and taxes we paid 164€/night, but all in all we are rarely satisfied at this level from a hotel. We became club members of the Dorint hotels chain.

Everything was amazing. A bit on the expensive side for our standards, but it was expected in Bremen.
