IntercityHotel Duisburg

Perfect location, good neighborhood, modern and spacious rooms, very friendly check-in, parking available, two separate blankets on a double bed. I would stay there again if I go to Duisburg.

Room was very warm and our windows faced highway, so it was a noisy night. I was not allowed to have breakfast at a hotel restaurant because I did not have a booster nor test. Funny enough, they would have allowed me if only had I my breakfast booked before the trip. These double standards and strange vision of the regulations were not pleasant.

Perfect stay. Due to missing a train connection I had to book at short notice and was a very reasonable price in the circumstances. Check in just after midnight was very easy and my paperwork was ready even though I had only booked a short while ago. InterCityHotels are normally a high standard but this one was immaculate, very clean and looked brand new! Air con was very effective and a nice view of the Hauptbahnhof from my window (which opened for ventilation - but that turns the air con off!) Bed was very comfy and bathroom was well-equipped and stylish.

Room was so quiet and comfortable. Lovely bathroom, amazing shower with multiple heads and great pressure. Bottle of water is a nice touch. Much nicer than the Ibis opposite, where I have usually stayed. Breakfast at €17 is not cheap but it was SO GOOD. * White and brown rolls, toast, cakes, pastries * Jams and spreads * Yoghurts, muesli, fresh fruits * Cold meats and cheeses even teewurst * Hot crispy bacon, sausages, scrambled and boiled eggs, tomatoes baked with cheese * Salad-type Mediterranean things * Many different types of milk * WMF bean to cup coffee machine * Lots of different teas Best of all, the lady from the kitchen kept coming out and checking the levels of everything so that nothing even came close to running out. This drove me CRAZY at the Ibis. I wanted to hug her. As long as the room price is close to that of the Ibis, will stay here every time I fly into Düsseldorf.

Shower has no door and is very powerful so water got all over the bathroom floor. But it was worth it for that great shower

The usual: good location by the Duisburg station, very clean & practical rooms, nice design in the rooms -the big Duisburg map on the wall above the bed is pretty cool :-)

Staff at check-in at 23:00 was not super-friendly and not able / willing to give useful info about parking possibilities (I found out myself that the closest Parkhaus is on the other side of the station, a 5 minutes walk. But at night, due to the proximity of the train station, the area is a bit dodgy. One can try to find a space on the street by the hotel though, it's all a bit "sort it out yourself")

The location of the hotel is good, easy to find. If you come by car, there are parking options available. The stuff are friendly and helpful. The room was nice and comfortable. Beds were very good. In general, the hotel was clean and nothing to complain regarding cleanliness. We didnt have breakfast.

The bathroom was the strangest ever. A frosted glass is separating the room and bathroom but inside is quiet visible. It has a sliding door and you can not close it completely. The sound of every water drop can be heard in the room, its not only annoying but also uncomfortable. Even its visible on the hotel photos, I was expecting better.

Excellent location if you have to depart early from the railway station. The rooms are comfy and quiet despite the nearby station and a highway that just enters a tunnel not far away from the hotel. The breakfast is good, the entry of the hotel / lobby nicely designed, better than I expected.

We were there really short. Arriving Friday evening 8 pm, and leaving Saturday 7.15 am to catch our train. Couldn't tell any negative things.

As good, practical and to-the-point as a train station hotel can get. Checked in at midnight, left (without breakfast) at 7:am. Checkin was friendly and smooth, the room was clean and quiet (no small feat considering there is a motorway under the windows), internet good, bed comfy and room set-up perfectly practical.

The hotel has a parking apparently, which I did not find driving late because it is not properly indicated (car spent 24 hours opposite the hotel on a public parking place and all went well though)

The staffs are very accomodating. Thank you for being a great help from checking in up to checking out. Also, Intercity hotel Duisburg is really recommendable to others.

No sleepers(disposable sleepers). But other than this, everything is great..

Great value for money! comfortable bed, clean and literally 1’ walk from the main train station. The hotel itself and the rooms were fresh and modern.

The Wi-Fi was not very good. The bathroom was separated with a glass window from the bedroom instead with a wall which I found pretty bizarre.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room very clean and quiet. Lovely shower/wet room and fridge which was useful. Used the offer as displayed at reception for money off drinks in the bar and public transport free travel. Excellent location right next to the train station and Duisberg has lots of restaurants
