Designhotel am Stadtgarten

Our room was bigger than expected. The staff is really helpful. Location is just outside the city center, so perfect if you are arriving by car as we did, and main attractions are less than 3 to 5 min. on foot. They have private parking too.

We did not know that housekeeping was done every 3 days (it was written on the door, but who reads the door warnings these days...). We did not mind, but it would have been better to be told upon checkin verbally, so we would have not expected the room to be done when we arrived later in the evening. We got a room that seem to be be fitted for people in wheel chairs: the nice part of that is that it was really big, with a big bathroom, but the WC was high and shower had a seat that made it a bit mode awkward to shower. The hotel also seems to have many buildings, we stayed at the main building (where breakfast and parking was located), but we saw some people crossing the street, so if that is an issue for you take that into consideration.

The location of the hotel was perfect in what felt like a safe neighbourhood - just off the main centre but everything was in easy walking distance. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

I missed having coffee and tea making facilities in my room. We were told that rooms are cleaned every 3 days or on request if a guest asked (we did not ask) However, our rooms were not cleaned during the 4 nights that we stayed.

Room was small but comfortable and bathroom, also small was modern and clean. Breakfast was good and location was close to old Town and restaurants. We were there during a heat wave and appreciated tha the room had a fan.

Parking was full at hotel so we went to recommend public parking a block away. The cost was exorbitant, €27 for arriving at 4 pm and leaving next morning at 10.

Location is great, right next to the park and you can easily reach the city center by foot (5 min.). The room was very quiet, especially because the hotel is next to a small, quiet road. We could park the car in the hotel-parking-garage, which was very comfortable.

Some minor things in the bathroom were broken (or at least nobody fixed it), e.g. on the shower rod was a covering missing, so you could see the glue inside and it just didn't look pretty. But everything worked!

The hotel had a good location and the room was spacious, bright and had a comfortable mattress. The building was a well renovated building from the 50s. Staff was polite and professional.

There is a lot of parking available around the hotel, but there is no guaranteed free parking although the website seems to suggest that. When I asked for the free parking, I was told that it was already taken by others. The breakfast has a good selection and a nice seating area outside the hotel, but it was extremely crowded at around 8:30am and lines were building in front of the coffee machine. It is also interesting to note that the hotel occupies several buildings in the street. I was a bit confused when I arrived, because I didn't know which one I had booked. My comment on the seating area outside, 50s building, and coffee machine may therefore apply to only one of the the hotel buildings.

The hotel was in a convenient location and the facilities were fine. The breakfast was good and from the hotel you can walk up the hill above town and into the forest. There is a castle on top of that and a lookout tower as well. Good sustainability practices at the hotel.

Very convenient location. Closed parking (mandatory to book in advance). Walking distance to all the amenities you may need. Beautiful room and very kind staff.

To my preference i would rather a better quality mattress. I think an auto selling snacks machine is missing. The reception closes soon and a vendor machine would help to by some wate, snacks or beverages late at night.

Motorcycle parking was a little difficult on arrival, though with a little negotiation, we were accommodated although Eur 18 per night was a little expensive for a motorcycle I thought.

The staff was very friendly, helpful, gave us really good recommendations. Due to our wish to stay one night longer we experienced two different rooms, both were clean, offered enough space. The breakfast was well organized and offered everything you can think of. The hotel is in walking distance to the city center. Parking might be a bit of a problem if you do not have the chance to get one of the rar deep garage spots

Good location, excellent facilities and the staff were absolutely brilliant. they also had secure parking for our motorcycles. First class.

There is nothing to dislike. Everyone, from the guy behind the bar to the guy on reception went above and beyond anything you could reasonably expect.
