Biohotel Garmischer Hof

The staff was friendly and willing to help. Our room was the cheapest option available (due to high demand on the selected dates) but really good one with a nice city view. The food was tasty and fresh with incredibly friendly and welcoming personnel. We liked the view to the mountains from the restaurant. We tried free sauna after snowboarding (the humid option was perfect!). The parking slot was booked without any problem despite I realized that the booking is needed only one day before arrival.

The only thing that can be improved is the fridge for cold food for breakfasts. It is not that easy to pick up some cheese or vegetables when one hand is holding the glass window and the other hand is taking the food. Fortunately there was no queue waiting for me, so it was okay :)

The room was cozy and charming. Very warm. I had a gorgeous view of the mountains from the window/balcony. Bathroom clean and modern. Lamp and outlets next to the bed for convenience of charging. Breakfast was in a bright, cheery breakfast room with a variety of delicious options. I had everything I needed for a one night stay. I had questions about the facility and surrounding area, and the staff was very helpful. The hotel was literally a 5 minute walk from the train station and very close to the pedestrian way as well. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The generous pillow was a little big for me personally. The bedding was nice however.

We booked in the offseason with the idea of using the hotel as a base for seeing some of the local sites. We did a last minute booking - when we arrived they offered us a free upgrade to a suite. We were so impressed with the room that we ended up staying an extra night. They had a great bar that served finger food and great sized/priced drinks and the breakfast in the dining room that was included in the price was also very good.

There were only two EV chargers and they were both older model Tesla destination chargers which meant they do not work with other EV brands - we were counting on using these chargers so that caused some incovenience - it would be good for them to list on the website that they are only compatible with Tesla (or get them upgraded to the newer V3 chargers that support most other EVs also)

The location was perfect for the town, transport (Rail and Bus) and if walking for the mountains and other attractions. The property is only as good as the staff and for someone English speaking the staff in reception, the excellent restaurant and the ancillary teams could not have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful.

No faults, although through choice I chose a room without a bath, but will old aching legs in hindsight, next time a room with a bath would be on my request list.

The room is spacious and the mountain view is awesome. The hotel is in 8 minutes walking distance from the train station. The staffs, especially the lady who received us, are welcoming and super helpful. The spa room should be a charm in winter time. The restaurant in the first floor served natural ingredients food where we had the dinner and breakfast. Both are delicious . The cable to Zugspitse is just next to the train station, meaning also in 8 minutes walk from the hotel too. A few shops on the same block provide easy shopping during free hours.

A few stairs from the gate to the front desk and from elevator to the room. It would be a bit inconvenient for travelers with heavy luggages.

The hotel is located in the center of town, in walking distance to the Zugspitze Cog wheel train, to the bus to Partnach Klamm and many more attractions. The included breakfast buffet is outstanding offering everything you wish for. The room was very nicely furnished and had a view from the elevated sitting area in the room. Spacious bathroom with a big shower. The attached brewery offers delicious beers. We had a wonderful stay.

The 1st day the elevator to our room on the 4th floor didn't work and made a bit strenuous to get to our room. However, the elevator worked on our 2nd day and made it a lot easuwr.

The room was a great size with pleant of surfaces, drawers and cupboard space of all of our bits'n'bobs. The shower was always hot and had good power. Very comfortable beds. Breakfast was lovely with pleant of choice. We ate in the restaruant a couple of evenings too. Really great food. Excellent location. Close to pleanty of shops, restaurants, bars. Not far from the train station and bus stops.

The hotel car park is VERY tight. We'd booked a space when we made the reservation, but on 5 out of the 7 nights we had to go into the reception to ask for another space as someone had parked in ours.

Breakfast was really good with organic things, house-made beers were delicious. Our room was spacey, nicely decorated and having a nice mountain view with a big balcony.

We tried but couldn't eat in the restaurant for some evenings. One evenining it was closed for a private event, the other night the waitor was not around for a long time to take the order. Besides almost everything is with Pork meat, but it is understandable that they offer very traditional food.

To our surprise and delight our standard hotel double room was upgraded upon arrival by the attentive and welcoming receptionist (after enquiring the next day we were told that it was the boss..) Our deluxe double Bio Panorama room was fantastic - with an amazing view of the mountains and the Zugspitze - a very spacious balcony, comfortable bed and even a wonderful free standing bath tub. Thanks again for this experience! Breakfast next day left no wishes open, would definitely return!

Not having enough time to use the wellness area - one night was not long enough!

- fantastic location: Mountain Views from the bedroom, easy walk around the town to restaurants / beer gardens / shops - convenient location to Eibsee/ Zugspitze - very helpful and kind staff - great beer garden/ restaurant attached to the hotel that attracts many visitors (not just hotel guests).

- the beds - rock hard - bed linen- looked old and dated - there was just one flat pillow in an oversized pillow case. - I think the hotel could easily spend some money and upgrade the bed linen and pillows !
