Hotel Berliner Hof

Strategic location opposite main train and bus station to travel anywhere in the city and nearby locations, not far from downtown area either (can be reached on foot). Plenty of shops (shopping mall next door) and a supermarket open 7 days a week nearby. You get a free voucher for local transport which is quite handy and you can also use the spa next door (we didn't, so can't give any feedback on that). Free tea and coffee at reception. Room is big (with a big desk and a small sofa) and nicely decorated. Our room faced an internal courtyard, so we didn't hear any noise. We couldn't hear other guests either. Plenty of closet space. Comfortable bed. Small fridge in the room.

There are plenty of plugs in the room, but none beside the bed. The bathroom is big and modern, but starts to show some signs of wear and tear.

Location very good including easy access to a test for Corona virus. Breakfast was fine but the coffee was tasteless. Perhaps a machine with choices would be better. I recommend German source: Alnatura Espresso von Darmstadt!

Although this time we travelled by train there was no arrangement at all for car parking, at least that is our understanding.

Everything was great and the staff we're really kind. I got to move around Kiel for free because I had booked a room in this hotel.

Breakfast: I guess it works for the locals. Its really traditional. And it costs a whooping 14 euros so be sure you like German traditional cuisine before paying for it! There was some noise in the corridors. Not very nice.

Excellent location, right next to the main train station with easy access to public transportation and rental bicycles. Very clea , large rooms, courteous staff and you get to use the public transport for free by showing the room reservation card. Good option for families with young kids. DM, REWE and other supermarkets and restaurants very close by.

Perfect for a short stay or as a transition point. Early breakfast is very convenient. Spacious room with all necessary and even extra furniture as a small sofa. Extra helpful staff

Hot meal as porridge and eggs would be great during the breakfast, however selection of cold food is great, maybe hot meals are served later in the morning, we had breakfast at 6 a.m.

Ideally situated close to Kiel Hbf. Very clean, good sized room. Efficient shower. Good value for money - I booked at thelast minute due to change in travel plans. Continental breakfast - you can ask for scrambled eggs to be cooked to order.

Nothing - would definitely stay there again as I travel by train. Some hotels near stations are dreadful.

Just a couple of paces from the station, the location is handy if you arrive later. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially at breakfast, which was in a nice, light room.

The room was a bit cold (although this may have been due to Covid-related ventilation requirements) and the bathroom a little small and tired looking. I found the price a bit steep, for the location and time of year.Per

Very clean, well equiped hotel room. Kind staff. Freshly made eggs & different types of coffee on request at breakfast. Free entry at Meridian spa, which is excellent! Close to shopping and city center.

Room are quite standard and "business like"

It was an excellent continental breakfast. Location is close to the main bus/train station as well as shopping centre. Staff very helpful and friendly. Special mention of Nicole who went out of her way to assist us in obtaining our PCR test results.
