ibis Hotel Köln Airport

Much to my surprise, though I originally had an agreement to leave my luggage before the official check-in time, and to check in later, it turned out a room was available for early check-in. This made my stay much easier to manage. There was also a broad desk, something I always appreciate when carrying a laptop with me.

There was a steady, distracting noise, presumably coming from an air conditioner, that I didn't know how to get rid of. I managed to get some sleep, because I was sleep deprived, but normally, it would have prevented me from getting a good night's rest.

I liked the location - it felt quite far from noise and almost in nature. the walk from the S-bahn should be ok for moderately fit people. the room had enough storage places and the bed was very comfy. the breakfast was very basic but good

hairdryer was barely enough to dry my hair, it could be replaced with smth more performant

The young man who worked at reception when I stayed was FANTASTIC. He made 100% effort to help me with a problem, which was my own mistake. This saved me a large amount of money. He did not have to help, but he did!

I am normally very critical but I have to say that there was not anything of significance that could be improved. Everything about the hotel was well thought out and you had everything you would want for a room at this room rate.

The staff is very friendly. I asked for a quiet room and got the most quiet room there is :) Slept like an angel, had a wake up call, my taxi to the airport arranged and all went smoothly. 10 minuts from the airport.

The ventilation in the bathroom was not very clean. I did not want those ´´mushroom like´´ particles in my air, so I cleaned it myself.

Very welcoming, good facilities and clean. The shower was hot and powerful - one of the best showers I’ve had. Close to the train station so easy to travel back and forth as needed

Even on maximum air conditioning at a cold temperature, and with the window open, the room was hot and so sleep was unsettled for all

The room is clean and the staff are super friendly and helpful the location is good and near public transportation the breakfast is nice

The bed wasn’t very comfortable

Bed and pillows were very comfy. Room was spacious enough and quite clean. Even though the location is remote, it is easy to get to the city.

Single product for shampoo, shower gel and hand soap was not a good idea. Better bring them yourself. Since the location is remote, no supermarkets nearby.

Close to train station quick access into koln and to airport, Very friendly staff who were happy to help, and bonus they spoke/understood english.

TV was very old, not much near by or in the hotel.

The door in the shower clicked uncomfortably loud each time you open it Not much power sockets to charge stuff

10 mins walk from Frankfurter Strasse S Bahn Station - 1 stop from airport and a few stops from the City. Handy garage for provisions. Slept really well as very quiet.
