AVIA Hotel

Wifi in the room we were in was very bad, after a complaint we got a better room without extra charge where the wifi was excellent. The new room, actually an apartment, was very comfortable and clean, the beds were comfortable. The room was quiet because it looked out on the courtyard. The breakfast is excellent.

There is no air conditioning in the hotel. The rooms facing the main street next to the hotel are very noisy, so it is impossible to keep the window open at night, and without air conditioning it is difficult. The location is relatively good, about 15 minutes on foot to the old part of the city.

Loved the old school but modern feel of this hotel. The staff were all absolutely professional and friendly from reception to breakfast. The room was comfortable and felt luxurious and we enjoyed the detailed personalised touches. We enjoyed the 15 min or so walk to the main town centre but there is also a public transport link if needed.

Our room faced a busy and noisy road BUT the closed windows almost completely blocked this out. A ceiling fan (there was a portable fan thankfully) or aircon would be helpful in Summer.

The location is great, inner city and the bridge is nearby. Parking is available, baggage can be easily transported through the back entrance with an elevator. One can tell that the hotel is not newly built (keys and holders are a bit old school), but it has got everything, it's clean, and comfortable. The whole staff was nice and helpful, but especially the Hungarian receptionist who provided us with recommendations how to reach the downtown and where to park. Breakfast was great with proper scrambled eggs (not from some artificial eggpowder)

There is really not much to tell here, I would stay here once again.

Very friendly staff (I would even dare say extremely friendly)! Rooms were nice and clean. Walking distance to the city center. Free parking. Near the highway exit so perfect for a stop on the way to Vienna. We had dinner at the restaurant. It was very nice. The homemade icecream was to die for! (strongly recommend this! - we asked for an additional scoop because it was that good. - Also recommend to make prior reservations because it was completely full). Breakfast was also good - lots of options.

Hotel is strategically located at about 20 minutes walk to the center of the town and with an easy exit to the highway. The staff is very friendly, rooms are sufficiently furnished and the beds are comfortable. The parking is big and convenient. Quiet neighborhood. Breakfast is great and you get served real espresso.

- Wifi was unstable and at times outright unusable - Hotel is quite old and may use some renovation - Bathroom is quite small and getting into the shower is not easy - Keys weigh about a ton - c'mon, we live in the 21st century :-)))

The location was great for exploring the city center but also great for getting on the highway to take day trips out of Regensburg. The breakfast options were wonderful and the staff were very accommodating. There was ample free parking which was wonderful too!

Our room was 101 which was right over the employee entrance to the restaurant. With no A/C you have to vent the windows but then the room smelled of cooking and the noise in the evening and morning from staff was disturbing. The beds were awful firm and hurt to lay on. I ended up asking for extra pillows to sleep on top of just to not ache in the morning.

Our room had a lovely sized bathroom and great shower. The breakfast was a very nice selection and we enjoyed it. The staff were very nice and very helpful in all areas from reception to breakfast room to cleaning and security. Everyone is doing a great job.

In the information booklet in the rooms it still states that there will be an English newspaper in the dining room at breakfast and that there were English channels available on the TV. This is not the case. There is only one English speaking channel available at times only.

Good hotel for a car trip stopover or short city break. Location is great, easy to reach from the highway and only a 15 min. walk to the old town. Huge outdoor parking place, very good breakfast and super nice personnel.

Rooms are slightly dated and have no air-con thus it can get hot in the summer. The hotel is located next to a busy road so traffic noise can be an issue for some.

Excellent breakfast: gluten free bread, quality and quantity, salt and sweet, high quality products. We had breakfast in the nice patio/garden, excellent service, no mosquitos Room: Super comfortable bed, very spacious room and corridors/stairs, nice decor of room and interior design, clean, modern, very confortable bath and room, very quiet, no traffic noise from street at night Location: 20 min walk to famous medieval stone bridge (center of town), safe walk free parking in hotel

Beautiful hotel , spotlessly clean with excellent on-site parking, we ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely, especially the breakfast , never stayed anywhere that offers such a variety of food to fill you up for the day, the staff are wonderful, its about a 20 minute walk into the old town which has plenty of bars and restaurants.
