Hotel La Hasienda

Ok, you're probably looking at this because you need a layover to get to Rote or any of the other islands... La Hasienda is the place to have that layover. Key reason is that Michael, the owner, will go out of his way to help you get to where you need to go. He helps with buying the tickets for fast/slow ferry or plane and shuttles you there to make sure you catch it. Also, and very importantly, in case of weather complications (which I had) he'll help you figure out the best alternative mode of transport, so that you're not stuck longer than you have to. Good quality food with some German specialties on the menu, as well as an overall attention to detail throughout the property, which you don't find that often in this part of the world.

It’s a great location for airport hotel and its on a hill with a great view of the city, Kupang. If you like artsy bohemian Mexican style you will love this hotel and how the German owner Mikel built it from scratch. There’s so much personality at this place you can’t help but to enjoy the pool, restaurant, music, views and his staff. I also was super grateful for the airport and harbor transportation the hotel provided. Post “Rona pandemic “ can be challenging for travelers and business owners.

I guess my only very little complaint was waiting for breakfast too long before my shuttle to airport.

The Hacienda is unique rambling (in a good way) multi story Mexican style hotel with lots of curios, nooks, great colour schemes, artful paving and stairways and almost completely covered in bright mosaics- it wouldn’t be out of place next to a Gaudi in Barcelona….. and the food is good on the rooftop with a sunset view and it is 5 minutes to Kupang airport

It is located out of town so great if on an overnight for a flight but a bit far with the traffic if wanting to go into town

Great place to stay. Close pick up from the airport. VERY comfortable bed. Lovely pool. Everything was very clean. Good air conditioner Food was delicious and the restaurant has fantastic views over the city, across the bay and the mountains in the distance. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Nothing I can think of.

The room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable and no outside noise. There is a gorgeous rooftop bar & restaurant where you can watch the sunset. Food is good and reasonably priced so didn’t need to go outside hotel for dinner. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again.

such a great hotel to spend a night before transiting. they lovely staff organised all our travel arrangements with no fuss. Breakfast was great, and the restaurant is on the top floor with a beautiful vista. It’s such a cool looking hotel and it’s clean and comfy, with everything you need.

The hotel it's self .. The owner has put so much time and effort in building this unique and funky hotel.. Michael organized all our transit's from airport pick up also organized tickets and trans to the fast ferry to cruise to Rote ... My stay was hassle free .. Food was great the pool was clean beer was cold what more do you need ..

The location is great while in transit on Kupang Island. Micheal the owner will always go out of his way to help you and make sure you’re having a great experience. I will go back and would recommend to everyone! 🙌

The location is really close to the airport. The facilities are great, the employees are helpful. I think this hotel is one of the best in Kupang. It is really suitable for backpackers since the hotel has a very excellent architecture.

There is room for improvement on the internet.

Fantastic stay, great pool for the kids, amazing rooftop bar, all tickets and transport to Rote sorted and super organised. Coming back in a couple of weeks! Incredible view.
