Garryvoe Hote

Our rooms were spacious and airy. The beds were very comfortable. We had dinner in the lighthouse bistro on the evening of our arrival and even though it was busy service was very quick. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Very relaxing, close to the beach, hotel has loads of areas to relax and the decor is beautiful.

The continental breakfast was our only option when we went for breakfast at 10am. When checking in we were told we could have continental/full breakfast which was being served until 10am. However when we arrived to the table at 10am we were told the kitchen was closed. Although the continental options weren't excessive there was enough of a selection. Cereals, juices, a machine for mini pancakes, fruit, yoghurt and some pastries. Plus coffee/tea and toast delivered to the table.

Great place if you want to get away from the city! Ideal for walks by the beach, treating yourself in the restaurant and going for a little swim in the included health club. There is also an outside hot tub. The staff is very friendly and helpful :)

Public transport (buses) is close to non-existent, you definitely need a car! Prices for meals and breakfast are somewhat steep, but the food is really good. Pro tip: eat the lunch special which is very affordable and absolutely delicious! :)

room was very large & comfortable with wifi etc very nice bathroom , breakfast was excellent & all the staff were very nice & friendly our room did'nt face the sea but many rooms had a sea view over ballycotton lighthouse & bay ! highly recommend we will stay again next year ! & would advise you to book a table for dinner we arrived on a tuesday in may & had trouble getting a table as we hadn't booked it was very crowded !

i can't really find anything that i didn't like .

We stayed in Garryvoe hotel for 1 night mid week in January so as expected it was lovely and quiet. The pool area was beautiful with steam room, sauna and hot tub all in perfect working order! We had our 3 teenage children with us. The restaurant was fabulous and the bar area and seating area around it was beautifully decorated. The location to the beach front and to nearby Ballycotton and Shanagarry was ideal.

We couldn't turn down the radiator in the bedroom. We were able to open a window so that was a relief!

I loved the location. The bar on the ground floor by reception was lovely to have a drink in. The view from the double doors in the upstairs room.

I was a little disappointed with the room, no mini fridge, I thought robes would have been in the room. The lighting was very poor in the room, I was searching for lighting when I was doing my hair and make up. I wasn’t really won over by the room….

We liked clean and spacious room with nice mattress and pillows. Good swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jogging pool and outside jacuzzi. Pleasant reception staff and health club staff. Good drink bar.

Unfortunately, the Lighthouse bar food was very average and the prices unadequate to the quality.

Garryvoe is a lovely hotel, I loved the location by the beach. The rooms are large and comfortable, you can completely open the windows which was great in the heatwave, fans were available to cool down also. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is one of the nicest hotel pools I’ve seen with a long pool for lengths and the majority of the pool a good depth for kids, an outdoor hot tub and a little aqua jog pool. I lovely the decor and choice of books in the bar, it was a very relaxing and comfortable space. Parking was plentiful.

We found the food in the bistro was nice but nothing special for the price.

Nice room, clean. Dinner in the restaurant is nice. Advised to book a table for dinner. We were visiting the cookery school, the hotel is 5 minutes away so is ideal. Plenty of parking.

Breakfast is quite expensive and isn't great. Not a great selection for breakfast.

Was looking to using the leasure center but lift wasn't working and we were on the 4th floor and there were a lot of restrictions so we didn't bother but the staff were extremely helpful we eat in the bar and everyone were very helpful and nice especially Catherine staff in the bar and at breakfast were very busy but but still very helpful

There was nothing we could complain about we had trouble with the heating but it was sorted

Bedroom with balcony with beautiful view, hot tub outside, beautiful bathroom. Hotel has beautiful living room.

We was waiting too long for breakfast which we ordered for room. Full irish breakfast is really small (no beans or hashbrown).
