Moyvalley Hotel & Golf Resort

This is a hotel and golf facility. They have full services with a bar and bistro. Very secure with controlled access. Scenic golf course that were I a golfer I would have loved to play. Staff in all areas were very professional and helpful. We opted to seek a second night after feeling so comfortable. They were able to accommodate our request for an extra night. The room was a good size with a large bathroom, desk, TV, wardrobe closets, and good lighting. We had a king room with one king bed.

The location is somewhat remote so finding an alternate place to eat was difficult. While not a big concern on a longer stay, this may be an issue. One restaurant/pub near was Furey's. The food was good and the staff were friendly and attentive.

The room was lovely and comfortable Service in the restaurant was excellent beautiful hotel, really enjoyed the sofas outside the restaurant really appreciated the bike hire facilities (even if we didn't get to it!) Unbelievably quiet area for the hotel Staff at check-in were lovely

Room was a little noisy in the morning with the arrival of delivery vans Would like the return of guest information books instead of a QR code We were down a little later for breakfast (not much past 9) and there was barely anything left and we felt like a bit of an afterthought

Found the room very comfortable and clean, very bright and spacious. The staff were very friendly helping us check-in so we could get changed for our friends wedding at the Moyvalley House.

The breakfast was a little bit disappointing, the staff seemed a bit flustered and it ended up seeming like one of the more senior looking women got lumped with all our requests for food so she was in / out of the kitchen. The food was nice, but I guess I just like bacon a lot crispier and little things like that!

Everything. Food great, room very clean and spacious, but the staff were fantastic. Everyone member of staff we came across was friendly, and made our stay extra special. It seems as though they have a happy staff, as their enthusiasm and willingness to help came across in droves. The grounds are lovely as well.

There was nothing we didn't like. Would have liked to have stayed longer, and will return fir sure.

TV was excelent you can watch netflix disney plus etc if youve an account. Bed is massive and cozy only issue is i think it was 2 single mattresses on a queen sized frame which had a bump going down the middle. Shower is good would be nicer if the shower head was better. Bathroom very clean. The room is very big. Breakfast was really tasty even when we went for the last 15mins. Its a buffet.

if the shower head was higher it would have been better but everything else was perfect.

we’re due to get married here and never actually stayed so we booked a night and dinner. the team and I say that because everyone we encountered was fantastic to deal with. all before we shared we were getting married there next year. the food in the bistro and the servers and bar team were so friendly and nothing was an issue…we actually commented that the seem to have a greet culture and it’s fairly evident from how they perform their jobs. well done everyone there on the 17th of dec - fantastic service and overall experience

Just home from a weekend stay in this beautiful hotel. The staff are possibly the most professional friendly staff I have ever had the pleasure of being around. Trish the bar manager in particular was fantastic. Bubbly kind and professional. Two of the young waitresses both named Aoife were also very attentive. The grounds are fabulous. Definitely recommend a stroll around the main house. Our room had a balcony with all the necessaries. Even a fan in the wardrobe as this was a warm weekend. Rooms and bathroom were very spacious & clean. Sincere thanks to the staff from the bar and front of house for making this a memorable stay!!!!

Great rooms and a large breakfast buffet. We were very happy that gluten free toast was available on request. The included bikes were a nice touch

The location is not accesible by public transport, especially at night, as there is no sidewalk. Special thanks to staff member Emily and her mom who were kind enough to pick us up off the road and drop us off at the hotel!

The room was very spacious, comfortable and bathroom was beautiful. Given a very quiet room as requested. Shower was fantastic. Lady in charge of dining room was particularly nice and welcoming. All staff in breakfast room were very efficient, polite and attentive. Breakfast was delicious. Will definitely stay at Moyvalley again. Enjoyed our stay there very much.

Minimal amount of toiletries in bathroom. Only given one very small shower gel, one small shampoo, no conditioner and one very small soap. Needed two of each as there were two of us and they were very small. Breakfast was lovely but was a little disappointed that there wasn't more fruiit such as grapefruit, mandarins, prunes.

Quietly surprised! Location outside of Dublin was excellent, with large rooms and easy access. Quality of food and preparation could not be faulted. Only stayed one night so I was unable to take advantage of the facilities onsite. The young serving staff were very welcoming.

I found the attentiveness of the resort to be slightly too much, from encouragement to prebook breakfast and dinner slots within 15 minutes of making the booking and then the extremely prompt serving of meals which left no dinning experience having two courses and back to my room within 45 minutes. I personally prefer a more relaxed approach to enjoying dinner even when traveling alone. The restaurant was not over full but I suppose it can be overwhelmed at times with patrons and bookings. This wouldn't actually put me off from staying again but I would be more inclined to order my dinner one dish at a time to extend the time spent there.
