iH Hotels Bologna Amadeus

Staff: They were all nice apart from the receptionist from the last days. We were in dire need of reaching the airport ASAP. WE asked her to call us a taxi. She said she will do as such When we saw that she kept on talking on the phone without any updates we managed to call a taxi on our own. When we boarded the taxi, the receptionist asked us why did we do as such. We told her that due to her lack of updates we had to act on our own. Location: It is good that is close to bus line 13. It is the easiest way to reach the centre of Bologna. Room: It was spacious. The beds were mostly OK. The heat was more than generously working. The TV had a lot of channels. Also very nice the blinders that were placed outside the windows allowed to create pitch darkness even if it was light outside. This was very helpful. Bathroom: It was quite big. The toilet flushed properly and there was always hot water available. The towers were changed regularly. Breakfast: It was pretty varied. They offer cold cuts, cheese, 4 typed of fruit juices, 4 types of bread, 3 types of croissants, many type of coffee-type beverages. I think most people will be very happy with all this variations.

Room: It was poorly insulated from the adjacent room. We could hear the other persons talking or having a shower. Also a panel that was intended to separate the two rooms, was poorly placed thus letting light from the other room get through. We had to place TP and plastic bags so that there was no light getting through. I would not expect such problems at a 4 star hotel.

The hotel is very close to the airport - 6 minutes with a taxi that costs 13.50 There are also bus stops near the hotel so there should be an option to go in the center. Everything was clean, the mattress comfortable and the bathroom was stocked with soaps, shower gel, clean towels. Stocked mini bar too. Stable hot water. We arrived in 2 am in the morning and were able to check in for less than 5 minutes. The breakfast is quite good for the low price - coffee, milk, tea, three types of croissants pastries, cheese that is real cheese, ricotta, Philadelphia cheese, small balls of fresh cheese, honey, butter, three types of bread rolls, toast bread, three types of salami sausages, scrambled eggs, fruits. The staff is very friendly and I commend the guys in the restaurant and the lady at the reception- they were amazing! We stayed only 1 night but if I have to choose a hotel for another stay in Bologna, it will be this hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at iH Hotels Bologna Amadeus, and I am delighted to share my overwhelmingly positive experience. Firstly, the cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding. The hotel staff's dedication to maintaining high standards of hygiene was apparent throughout my stay, creating a comfortable and safe environment. The hotel's modern and tasteful decor further amplified the quality of the stay. One standout feature of the hotel was its convenient parking facility. The availability of parking made our stay more comfortable and hassle-free, especially for those traveling by car. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to the airport is a significant advantage. This location convenience minimizes the stress of travel and makes it an ideal choice for those needing quick airport access. Despite its affordable cost, the hotel offered excellent service and comfort that exceeded my expectations. The staff was warm and friendly, constantly going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience for all guests. Rating: 5/5 stars

For the price hotel is excellent. Rooms are not worth 4 stars, but staff is acting like the staff in 4 star hotels. Front desk was open 24hrs. Breakfast was ok for the price, but I really liked that the staff didn't make a fuss about me being there longer because my child eats slowly and they let me take food to my room. I was even provided a doggie bag (that I could fill myself) and take a water bottle which is great if you are traveling with kids. Trolleybus station is right outside hotel (30-35 min to the Marconi station or Lame) and train is about 5 minutes walk (5 minute train ride to stazione centrale). Airport is a 8 minute drive (16 euros including luggage and a tip). Rooms are neat and clean, they provided extra towels and soaps.

Water pressure problems are the same as in hotels of that size and age, but I am used to it. Room seems old and outdated. Closet smelled like weed (probably from previous guest). View on another building and the street isn't nice.

Close to Borgo Panigale train station and a bus stop that goes to the city centre, lovely buffet breakfast with the usual continental plus some nice additions like mozzarella balls, not a lot of heated options though, only scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon - can take anything back to the room too. AC worked great, spacious room and the staff were very helpful, borrowed some scissors. Shaving kit is pretty useless though, razor cuts nothing, more akin to a window wiper and with a pack of a drop of shaving gel.

More hot options at the breakfast buffet would be great, not closing immediately at 10am would be good too.

The staff were exceptional, polite, spoke English. The room was clean and quite large, bigger than expected. Breakfast was awesome!

The room was not separately air-conditioned, nor was there a fan in the room. Coming from Nth West Qld Australia I kept waking up in a sweat. If I opened the window in the evening all I got was cigarette smoke wafting in and people speaking loudly. Apart from these small inconveniences I would definitely stay again, I'd just ask for a room not above where people smoke.

We were only staying for 1 night before heading elsewhere for a wedding. Room was lovely and spacious, bathroom was clean and toiletries were provided, and the breakfast in the morning was a great start to the day before a long drive. Located a 5 minute drive from the airport, which was handy. All the staff we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful, especially when we checked in as our flight was delayed and we were late. The hotel driver took us back to the airport to pick up our car, and he was very helpful and also gave us great advice about how to go about picking up the car. Price was ideal for a short stay.

The room was big and comfortable. We had house keeping everyday I was in Bologna for a training so the location was perfect for me and the navette. The bus 13 takes you to the city centre in 20 minutes. It is a bit far but not detrimental to us.

The walls are very thin. They need to do some work on the isolation The furniture's are bit dated but charming, functional and clean. Breakfast could be more varied but it the end it was substantial and filling.

the breakfast spread was great! even though the coffee machine wasn't working well on day 2, we were served freshly brewed coffee from the kitchen and even on day 3 when it was fine, the friendly waitress still served us fresh coffee! the rooms are very spacious albeit a bit dark. it is about 30mins from the city centre but very accessible by bus 13 which comes about every few minutes.

only 1 big towel was in the toilet though the room was booked for 2 guests! but there is an extra set of amenities in the wardrobe so i just took the towel from there. however, perhaps a set of toothbrush and shaving kit could be placed inside the toilet first instead of having it upon request? and also i couldn't find what the reception number was. it wasn't stated anywhere but found out that it was "9" after asking the staff.

Vary convenient location 5’ by taxi from the airport (he had to catch a very early flight) but still you can go to the center of the city by bus in 25’. The room was spacious & clean. The personnel was very helpful, helped us with the taxi etc. & gave us tips for our daily visit to the center of Bologna.

There wasn’t something that bothered us in our short stay.
