The owner willingness to satisfy his customers. He stop doing what he was doing and let me in early. I had read the check in time wrong. I also witnessed how kind he was to two mature ladies. Providing refreshments and with a happy attitude. He gets a A+ in my book.

I know from the way he treated me and others he will do all he can to make us comfortable and he did. But know one can predict when something may or may not work. The ceiling fan in my room was not working, which keeps the rooms cool. So he provided a fan. It helped, but not as good as the ceiling fan.

We loved the super-central location 😍 For a short stay - this is perfect! The flat we liked funnily – it is kinda unusual setting but actually looks cool and cosy. The communication with the owner was very simple - if you like to check in and out with minimum words exchanged - this is your stay :)

Even the instructions from the owners seemed very detailed and sufficing, with photos and everything – we still struggled to find the flat as it is really hidden. Nothing too bad, just prepare yourself for some search. Another thing we didn't really fancy is the suicidal, narrow and steep stairway 😅 Once you get out – you better make sure you didn't forget something in the flat as you will not want to go back and forth to the last floor. Also – do not bring big and heavy luggage with you.

Tucked in a quiet courtyard in the heart of the old city, this accommodation was spacious and a cool retreat from the hot Italian summer. The host was friendly and accommodating to all of our needs. The full refrigerator was appreciated and kept our supplies cold in the hot summer.

The kitchen lacked many basic items including cups, corkscrew, wine glasses, and gas stove striker. Our host provided these items immediately upon our request. The ceiling sloped and in many cases was too low. This was a problem in the bathroom. Also there were nearly 50 stairs to climb to get to the apartment.

The room is in the town center and in a historic location, very convenient and close to everything. Paul is the gentleman to check me in and give all the information of one needs. The room equipped with a fridge and a hot water kettle which I think is very useful. The room is clean and spacious and is good value. WiFi is good. Shower water was great.

Because the room is in an old building so the stairs are narrow and high. If someone has heavy large suitcase it’s going to be difficult to get up there. There is one quite high step to get in shower space. The creaking with every move. The shower room needs a holder for shampoo and soap.

The location was great, and the room was spacious with a nice bathroom, and a useful kitchenette.

It was very noisy, unfortunately: the central location brought a lot of noise from outside, and the building itself was very noisy (I could hear my neighbors and whenever hot water was used or a toilet was flushed in the building, there would be a loud noise).

Paolo was the perfect host! So friendly, he carried my enormous and heavy suitcase up the stairs and back down again when it was time to go. Offered lots of advice on what to do/see. The room was just what I needed, clean and had good fan to keep me cool at night. Was also in a great location. Very happy with my stay here.

The manager of the place was extremely kind and let us upgrade to a different room without a greater cost, and he gave us lots of ideas of what to around Lucca. The place itself was spacious for the 2 of us, with a bathroom included and free coffee! The location was also magnificent as it was a short walk away from about everything. We felt very well attended to and also very well fulfilled with our trip. We extended our stay as well which was not a problem and we are happy we did so!

It’s located off a hidden little courtyard near a very pretty piazza with large sycamores and good cafes.

I liked having the kitchen but it could have been better equipped for actual cooking. I would like the owner to look at what is there and see if they could cook a meal there. I suspect the answer is no. So that tells me they are not that concerned with my experience in the kitchen.

Location excellent. Room ok but no Aircon (38° temps)and WiFi code incorrect on all literature. Stumbled across a leaflet in the unmanned reception area on day of departure (only 1 nt stay).

Fantastic location right in the heart of Lucca. Being off a small courtyard partly mitigates the late-night street noise. Good value for money.

Had to wait around half an hour to check in because staff not on site and had some trouble getting hold of them on the phone. The bed was a bit too soft to be comfortable.
