We had the chance to spend a night in this amazing and perfectly located B&B which offered super nice rooms with a gorgeous decoration. What a wonderful experience ! Lucrezia has been absolutely amazing. She was very attentive and extremely accommodating. I highly recommend calamurn Ortigia for anyone visiting the lovely city of Syracuse.

Amazing hosts, great contact even though they aren’t physically present at the apartment. The location was fantastic & breakfast at the Cafe in the square each day was nice. The rooms have been decorated to an excellent standard & are beautiful. The moment you step into the Calamurn apartments it is completely tranquil. I loved the personal touches which made it feel cosy and welcoming!

My only tiny criticism is that the doors to each apartment close quite abruptly meaning sometimes you are disturbed by other guests entering and leaving, in particular the guests in the standard room when they are using their bathroom as it is located opposite the room we stayed in. But, not really fault of the owners and didn’t affect us too much.

Perfectly located in the heart of Ortigia, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and modern fixtures and fittings (great lighting etc) despite being in a beautiful old building. We had great service from our hosts who were very helpful with tips and advice. Very easy check in/check out. Nice touches with a room fridge stocked with water each day and a free bottle of wine. Also, daily cleaning which is very nice but I wouldn't necessarily expect.

Very minor things. The breakfast cafe is incredibly located - opposite the duomo, but the breakfast choice a little strange - we only used the free token on one of the three days. Would be good if there was a safe in the room and maybe a couple more plug sockets or USB ports.

The accommodation was beautiful and spotlessly clean. We were travelling as 2 couples staying in 2 rooms. The location was close to everything but very quiet situated on a narrow side street. The lady that serviced our rooms each day was very friendly. Beds were very comfortable and air conditioning was fitted although not required during our stay. We would certainly recommend

If I had one criticism, and this is beyond the control of the owners of Calamùrn, it was that the staff at the restaurant providing the breakfast could have been better. Gran Caffe del Duomo is in a fabulous location. However, we all felt that once we had identified ourselves as using breakfast vouchers we became second class customers. The service was haphazard, bordering on rude. We used the vouchers for the first two days and didn't go again. I would not go there again. However, I must stress, this is not the fault of the Calamúrn staff

Wonderful brand new accomodation in the heart of Ortigia. Room of great taste with all modern amenities, impeccably clean with great complimentary breakfast at a nearby cafe in piazza Duomo. Highly recommended!

Tastefully decorated, excellent central location in Ortigia. Host very responsive and helpful.

The listing on Booking.com says all units have private bathroom - for the room we had this was across a shared corridor which is not what we wanted/expected. (Although it was a lovely bathroom!) The listing should make this difference clear. Note also that “A continental, Italian or vegetarian breakfast is available each morning at the property.” is not accurate - it was actually a voucher for a cafe 5 mins walk away. (It was a good breakfast but may not be convenient for some)

Great location, short walk from everything on ortigia. Bed was very comfortable. Room was very nice and staff very friendly and friendly. Left a bottle of wine for us on arrival.

The room is located up two flights of stairs and there is no lift that we could see. Something to bare in mind if elderly or otherwise abled. It can be quite loud at times from street noise, as italians tend to be out quite late. It can also be quite noisy at times from other guests, which you can hear coming and going

The location was excellent, close to everything on Ortigia, our room was very quiet. Rooms are beautifully furnished and very comfortable, plenty of space for open suitcases. Bed and pillows were really comfortable. Although we never saw any staff, they were contactable via WhatsApp and very helpful and responsive when we messaged them.

Unusual not to have any face to face contact with staff in what I thought was (on Booking.com ) a hotel. I didn’t like sending photos of passport details prior to arrival.

Great location, clean and comfortable and breakfast was great. We would definitely stay again if visiting Ortigia again.

We were very happy about our stay in this B&B. Authentic location, nice building, beautiful design inside. Very nice and supporting staff, fresh water every day and small surprises. Calm sleeps in comfortable bed. The breakfast is although in a different location, but it is Ortigia's main square, beautiful and very calm in the mornings! However, it is typical sicilian sweet breakfast, which is not what we usually prefer (but I don't really consider this a negative feedback, just for your info).
