National Gallery Taormina B&B0

It was a little tricky winding up the narrow Taormina roads to get to this accommodation, but once there, my husband and I could easily walk everywhere, and my older parents were driven by Andre in the racy red tuk tuk. Traveling with older parents, it was also nice to find that all the rooms were on a single level (after so many surprise stairs in Italy!). The rooms were actually better than I expected from the photos--very clean, very comfortable, very stylish with artist themes. Andre was very helpful with recommendations and answering questions.

No complaints at all. I wish my Italian was better to communicate more thoroughly with Andre, but with his English, and Google Translate, we did well. :)

The room was super comfortable with a nice view and the breakfast had a variety of choices both sweet and savory. The B&B is a 15 mins walk from city center and in a very quiet neighborhood so win/win. Most importantly : Andrea was an incredible host, he was THE BEST part of our stay. So generous, nice and helpful. I would recommend National Gallery only because of him. He was always ready to take us wherever with his little shuttle (tuktuk), we honestly felt we overstepped for how many times we asked but he INSISTED every time to drop or pick us up. So Andrea, thank YOU so much for our incredible stay in Taormina and suggesting the best places to visit and dine.

Everything was perfect

Andrea the owner far exceeds expectations; nothing is too much bother for him. Especially the number of times he took us around in his 3 wheel Piaggio - great fun! Including picking up from the station and dropping us at the car rental location at end of stay. He did some laundry for us. made lots of coffees at breakfast, gave helpful tourist advice. Simply great! The room itself is recently renovated and very comfortable. The bathroom was the best of all we had on a 6 week trip.

It is 1 km walk to the main streets, but we knew that. And Andrea will provide a lift anyway. It's just that there isn't a trattoria or restaurant "around the corner" for convenience.

Andrea and his place certainly set the standard for Booking hosts. He made all the difference in making this an outstanding trip to Taormina. He has created this place thinking of all of the small details in the rooms and he is the master of understanding what will make his guests have a better stay. We stayed 3 nights and wish we had stayed many more. The pictures in the listing don't do justice to the rooms. The beds are large and very comfortable. The bathrooms and towels are top notch. And the breakfast is definitely something to look forward to in the morning. Thanks Andrea for those chocolate pastries :-). The view of the city from the balcony is so nice. And Andrea and his tuk tuk define the place. He is so generous in taking the time to deliver guests to places around town. Great memories of those rides in the red tuk tuk. Thanks Andrea, looking forward to our return visit!

Andrea was really helpful and proactive. He came to guide us with his cute tuk tuk when we were lost trying to find our way to his place. And his recommendations for restaurants and activities were spot on! He even settled our Mt Etna parking fine for us, which was really kind of him! It is in a fantastic location, within walking distance of centre of town and with a view to kill! And breakfast was fabulous! I highly recommend Andrea's place, don't miss it!

Nothing really! It was a bit tricky to find his place but that was partly because we didn't do our homework and studied the video he sent!

Everything was great. Andrea is a perfect host, he was always available for any information that we needed, advised on choosing good restaurants and what sights to visit. He also gave us a contact of an organizator of trips to Etna with whom we later agreed on our trip there. Andrea also offered to drive us with his tuk-tuk around the city and it was a really lovely drive. The room is beautiful, it has everything what you need and more. Breakfast was excellent, not a tipic Italian one, since basically all kind of food was offered, delicious. We will definitly stay here again, if we come to Taormina. We give it a 10.

Andrea and his property were sheer perfection. Flawless. Clean. Fantastic location. Quality bedding. Excellent breakfast. Brand new or close to brand new bathroom facilities. Spacious. Excellent air con for the 47 degree days we encountered. Netflix for when you wanted it. Excellent wifi. Above all Andrea the host would do anything and everything to ensure your stay is perfect. He is genuine and clearly loves his business, region and ensures guests have a simply magic experience in Taormina. Grazie mille Andrea from the 2 Aussies. 😁😁🐨🐨

Everything was the BEST. No words can describe Andrea, the perfect host. The rooms were wonderful the shower was unusuall and extraordinary. Andre took us into town in his Alp 3 wheel vehicle, brought us to one of the best pizza places in Sicily, picked us up and took us on a tour of Taormino at night; next day Andre brought us to the Greek Amphiteater and picked us up. With the steep hills, as senior citizens, we found Andrea's assistance in hielping us get around invaluable. The breakfast was wonderful, parking was no problem, when we were a little lost he came to get us on his bicycle and led the way. This is the best place to be if you are visiting Taormino. I can't imagine a 5 star hotel being any better

Couln't have been better

Andrea was so welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. He even dropped us into the town centre a few times in his tuk tuk. Nothing was too much trouble. The place itself was so comfortable and air con was great. Not like other places we’ve stayed. The room was nice and spacious, clean and the bed was lovely and comfortable. The free Netflix was a lovely touch too.

Nothing it was fantastic. A bit of a walk to the town in the heat but Andrea dropped us in and walking back was fine

Had a delightful stay here! Really exceeded my expectations. We booked the small room which ended up being comfortably large with a huge private bathroom. Impeccably clean and the bed was deliciously comfortable. Great air conditioning. The location is perfect- a 10 minute stroll into town through mostly quaint residential streets. So nice and close to everything but still lovely quiet. The lovely owner has this cute red tuk tuk and will shuttle you into town (it’s really fun!) free of charge. Breakfast is great- all sorts of things from meats and cheeses to yoghurt, fresh pastry, cereal, nuts, coffee. It’s huge. Really great value and would definitely stay again. Wish we had stayed longer in Taormina, it’s such a magical little place and much better than I even expected!
