Hotel Forza Kanazawa

Everything was fine - amenities, location, food services, laundry, service personnel. We would particularly emphasize the excellence of the concierge (‘Emi’) who went far beyond ‘knowledgeable’, ‘proficient’, and ‘considerate’ - things that would be expected of any concierge - to create for us an exceptional Kanazawa experience. She proposed walking itineraries to match our enthusiasm for history, culture, and natural beauty, she suggested authentic local eating spots that were local favourites as opposed to tourist attractions, and took on the making of reservations for us, given our non-existent Japanese language skills, complete with setting navigation directions into our smartphones and printing off hard copies with introductory notes for the restauranteurs. Emi deserves rave reviews (and a big raise!).

Everything was first rate; no complaints at all.

My husband and I have stayed at this property many times and it's our favorite Kanazawa hotel! This time, we took a group of 22 people there and again, the hotel did not disappoint! Special thank you to front desk gal, Suzuki-san for her kind assistance to send 10 takkyubin boxes to the airport and 10 luggage to our next destination! She was very pro-active and prepare the takkyubin slips in advance so when we were ready, the process was quick and easy! Just off the lobby, there is also a large area with tables and chairs so group members could gather and enjoy drinks and snacks purchased from the convenience store. This is the same room used for breakfast so the room is made available at times when the restaurant is closed. The welcome drink of sake, wine or non-alcoholic beverage is always a nice touch! Mahalo again for a great stay!

Modern hotel well located to get to sightseeing locations. 10 mins straight walk from the train station. There are bus stops just in front of the hotel and ahead to many locations if required. Easy walking distance to Kanazawa castle , Kenroku-en garden and the Higashi Chaya district. The reception staff were very helpful in providing a show booking and transport assistance. Excellent Japanese and western breakfast choices. Complimentary coffee at reception. Spacious floor level shower with a jet massage. Separate toilet facilities. Room was one of the more spacious ones that we had, on our travels in Japan. Bottles of water were provided in the room each day.

A foldable luggage rack would have been nice

For the price I paid, this was the perfect hotel for a vacation in Kanazawa. It's around 10-15 minutes of walk from Kanazawa Station and Higashi Chaya District and just 5 minutes of walk away from Omicho Market. There are several bus stops very close to the hotel as well if you don't feel like walking all the time. Staff was accommodating and helpful. The room has a good size, enough for a solo traveler with a big luggage or a couple with two mid-sized luggaes. The room also has separate toilet and bathroom, with a good-sized bathtub and shower with multiple nozzles, which was very refreshing after a long day of vacation. Bathroom amenities were well-stocked and if required, you can go to the lobby for additional amenities (for free). They also provided a massage cushion in the room that made the stay even better!

At the price point, absolutely nothing!

The hotel is just 10 minutes away from the JR station. All sightseeing spots are within walkable distance. The 3-bedroom is well appointed, spacious enough for us to place 3 big suitcases. I especially love the foot massager stool plus the Panasonic facial steamer available in the room, I have never seen this in hotel room! Quite a lovely surprise. Many commented that the breakfast served in the hotel was good, but it's not included in our reservation so I did not try. You can also purchase a value card to taste some wines served at the cafe. Free coffee is available.

Very modern, spacious and great place to stay in Kanazawa. The room was beautiful and very comfortable, so far the most comfortable on our trip. We really enjoyed it a lot. The lobby had seats and free coffee and tea to drink. Also very close to the central station and very central. A good spot to stay in Kanazawa!

If there was one minor thing, it would be that there were still some used contact lenses on the sink when we arrived and also the bath tub didn’t seem very clean. But nothing that would make the stay less enjoyable.

We loved the Hotel Forza. The staff were lovely, particularly the people running the breakfast service and the breakfast buffet was fabulous. This was one of the few hotels we visited in Japan which provided a lounge area where larger groups could congregate and spend time together and eat takeaway food - essential as it was New Year and difficult to find restaurants. The location is great with the large food market opposite. It is within walking distance of the station, castle and old tea districts. We were in the hotel during the earthquake (1/1/24) - we didn't even lose power and the staff were fantastic, thank you.

The Twin rooms were a bit tight on space.

Unbeatable value for money. Room with super comfortable bed, clean and with all services. Very nice staff. Furthermore the location is great: you can walk to many of the main points of interest in the city and it's less than 15 minutes walk from the train station. The area is full of delicious and cheap restaurants. We'd recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit the city and is looking for a comfortable place, good quality but without blowing up their budget.

Spacious, new, and clean guest room. Very comfy bed. Plenty of electrical outlets with USB charging ports. Very nice traditional clay tea making set provided in the room. Modern and sleek decor throughout the facility. Providing many useful and thoughtful amenities such as boots drier for wet and snowy season, foot massager for relaxation after a long day, and even a built-in fabric dryer/steamer. Extra amenities such as hair products, facial products, razors, and combs are provided at the lobby 24/7. Superb breakfast buffet with both western and japanese cuisines. Tasty, plenty, and fulfilling. Personally love curry, tonkatsu, and oden. Great location. Just steps away from Omicho market and shopping malls. Bus stop right in front with access to kanazawa loop line and other direct lines to Kanazawa castle/Kenrokuen. Staff was helpful in providing travel and bus information.

No parking garage on-site. However, there are several parking facilities around the hotel; one garage is right behind the building. No drop-off space for car.

The staff was amazing and friendly, the room was spacious and facilities were useful, they even have LG styler, foot massage machine and facial steamer. They provide various choices for breakfast, also there is a coffee machine at the lounge which you can get free coffee at anytime. The hotel is next to many bus stations, which is very convenient to get to any place. Also the hotel is located right next to Omicho market and a department store, so it is easy to get any kind of food. You can buy Kanazawa 1-day bus ticket at the hotel reception desk, in case anyone needs to know.
