Hyatt Centric Kanazawa

Hyatt Centric is a 3 minute walk from the Kanazawa train station. On exiting from the gantry, turn left and go through the exit along Starbucks. Take a left bend at another Starbucks and you can see the hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The decor, right from the entrance to the lobby to the rooms, is fantastic. Room was surprisingly large and tastefully furnished. Because of its central location, it’s within walking distance to many attractions such as Kenrokuen gardens, Samurai district and Omicho market among others. Would stay here again! We had dinner on the 14th at the restaurant, very good food. Note: The staff are standing all the time from morning to evening for some reason, they should be allowed to sit when the can I feel.

Wish we could have stayed for much longer 😀

The artwork in this hotel made of both gold and other materials is amazing. The first thing you see when you walk in is a giant 3D gold sculpture made of cogs and bolts. Even the hotel rooms have these giant pieces of art over the bed head. The water that you get for FREE is in metal bottles which is very environmentally friendly. There also ice and water refill machines that you can use for free on some of the floors that the hotel guests can access through the key card use in the elevator to get to the other floors. The staff are very friendly and can speak English. The bathroom is very clean as well as the bathtub. The view looking out to Kanazawa station is beautiful, especially if you’ve come when it snows. The breakfast buffet has many choices to choose from and has many local delicacies and delicious food to have for a special breakfast. Many shops and the station is very close by and a 2-3 minute walk undercover, or an outside walk in the snow or sun.

The location is perfect. Just outside the train and bus station so it was great for getting around the city. There was a big department store close by which was great for shopping and browsing. The hotel itself is modern and really elegantly designed. The room was spacious, the most comfortable room we had in Japan so far. It had all the amenities we needed and more. The staff were friendly and gracious. They helped us with making dinner reservations and forwarding our luggage. The room has blackout blinds which were a luxury for us!

Our only complaint is that the coffee at breakfast was terrible. We had a nespresso machine in our room and had 2 regular pods and 2 decaf pods. It would have been nicer if they had the same quality of coffee at breakfast.

Fantastic modern spacious comfortable room with high quality materials. Wish my bedroom at home was like this. Best room of our 17 day trip Japan. Value of the room is really good Perfect location right next to main train station, restaurants and shops..

There is unfortunately no pool or jacuzzi. The rooftop bar is nice (view of snow capped mountains), but the happy hour cocktails were low quality watered down.drinks and the 500 yen entrance fee is extremely unwelcoming to hotel guests.

This hotel is really new, the design is really chic. The location is perfect, you can walk out from Kanazawa station into the hotel without getting wet even if it's raining, super near to the station. Breakfast is okay, i consider it good, just that the previous few days I stay in Ryokan with really great breakfast thus in comparison the breakfast here is just good. Ameties in the room is great! and the staff can speak english really well.

The convenience of Kanazawa Station within walking distance. F&B outlets are easily accessible, especially the Hotel's Cross Gate annex. Front desk staff speak and understand the english language much better than most hotels in Japan. They are very courteous and proactive in their approach to guests. The room facilities are good, and I particularly like the concept of having no wardrobe - clothes are hung and let to air on the hanger rail. The walls of the bathrooms are actually "slide-able", so the space is larger when the walls are slide back.

We were unable to eat in the restaurant as it was fully booked by coach parties. Hotel did not advise us of this when we checked in. So only had pleasant bar snacks on first night. On second night ate in lounge - worst Caesar salad I’ve ever had and indifferent curry. the most disappointing meal of our whole 3 week trip.

The location was fantastic, close to station, restaurants and shopping. We had a friendly welcome and though we were a bit early for check in we were given a room straight away. Loved the room - it was so spacious and had everything we needed. The blackout curtains were fantastic!

Nothing - enjoyed our stay at this property. Actually one thing I would suggest is extra places where you can hang a towel. Like most places in Japan we've discovered there only seems to be enough room to hang one towel in the bathroom.

The location right beside the train station is great and from there you can take the circular lines which get you to all the main tourist attractions. The room was nice and like most places in Japan the staff were friendly and helpful and spoke better English than many of the places we stayed. Overall, during cherry blossom season I would recommend Kanazawa as the park is stunning and one of the top parks in Japan. The food in the hotel was nice also.

Nothing to note

I loved being right next to the train station. we just walked to the castle and the garden, the museums which is only about 4 or 5 km away. really easy flat walk. rooms were beautifully appointed.

the only thing I didn’t like was too much plastic still being used. good to see reusable water bottles but way too many disposable shampoo bottles, razors etc.
