Holiday Inn Almaty, an IHG Hotel

The hotel has a great location across the Forum Mall & walking distance of a few restaurants. Rooms were spacious and clean with housekeeping staff prompt in cleaning the rooms every day. The reception staff was helpful with taxi booking. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous with cereals, porridge, eggs, sausages, bread, bakery items, juices, milk and tea being there every day along with the accompaniments like butter, jams and other spreads.

The language was a major problem with most of the staff not being able to communicate in English. However, they used translator to communicate or answer the query. The restaurant service was a bit laid back.

I’m always starting in this hotel once visiting Almaty, but this time it was not that good as before. when I tried to check in earlier firs persons on reception told me I can check in minimum 10-11, Inwas about to change the hotel and another person from reception provided me room. i was so upset because was staying in this hotel since 2019 always Im visiting this city.

Size of the rooms were good

Breakfast was not great.. same routine daily. No Indian stuff. They did not luggage boy so we need to take the luggage upstairs Rooms floor were very dirty looks like they were not cleaned on regular basis

I liked the beds and pillows, the quality of sleep was really good. The location is convenient as the city centre is nearby plus there is a huge and really nice shopping mall just across the street.

Wi-Fi wasn't stable at all, which made me really nervous a few times each day as I needed to be on calls via zoom. Breakfast was OK but basic

The hotel is great. The room is clean. The breakfast was amazing with various kind of food.

I had the early morning flight but the hotel did not allow to check in before 2pm only for extra money. I’d recommend sometimes upon the availability of free rooms to allow the early checkin for guests.

Great location, very welcoming, friendly and helpful reception staff, free parking in front of the hotel. Very comfortable bed, safe.

No enough cupboard space for 2 people, the towels are too small. The breakfast is average and the same everyday.

The Hotel is in the city center and very close to Forum Almaty Shopping Mall and Kaktobe, you can reach to all by walking. I especially thank to the hotel staff for their kind hospitality and for the endless support.

Understanding the present corona-situation it is not easy to operate a hotel successfully. But here they are doing their best to let the people feel comfortable. The rooms and clean, the staff is friendly and attentive and the beds are simply grreat (not too hard and too soft, just perfect). Of course the selection at the breakfast buffet is limited (only a few guests).

The breakfast had, good verity and good quality.

Airport shuttle will help reduce the stress of booking a taxi on arrival and would increase the overall appeal and accessibility of the hotel.
