CityBlue Creekside Hotel & Suites

Room was very nice with a nice view at the courtyard. Very clean and spacious. Air-condition was a saver for me which was fantastic considering high temperatures. Breakfast was OK not too fancy but really good.

At the pool bar, my fiance and I have ordered drinks and they were very good but the waiter asked for my credit card and my pin number so that he could make the payment by himself for the drinks we have ordered. That was inappropriate request from his side and I'm not sure why this question was even asked. The device for credit card payment was not available at the premises, according to the waiter which he had to come and get from somewhere else. It should have been available at the bar by the pool. This request, creates a lot of suspicion about the staff credibility. Nice thing that the gym was there but it is a small one and not a lot available devices to work out with. One was broken and one not in a good condition. It's kinda hard to call that a gym.

The location is convenient and views are good especially creek facing, Garden facing are bigger though I’d actually recommend going for creek view trust me. Breakfast was quite good with variety dinner not so much. However, staff was very helpful and friendly. Agnes really served us well They made up for an initial disappointment from our booking that was overlooked in our arrangement by upgrading our booking and it left us with a very good impression. More attention to detail before checking in and a better welcome/signage from the parking to know where to go

First of all, as you entered the hotel the customer service I had received was extremely amazing, luggage’s were taking to my room without asking. It was the easiest I’ve ever checked in, my details were already printed and just needed payment… I had an extra guest staying with me and that wasn’t an issue, the room was upgraded from a double to a twin room without any extra charges which I thought was amazing from them. The room was very tidy and clean not one bit of dust. As I was reading the past reviews it said that the bathroom needed refurbishment but now I think they have as everything was modern. The pool and gym was even better than I thought and the pool bar and the bartenders even better than I received anywhere else I’ve visited.

My room overlooked the inner courtyard, with nice greenery and offering a balcony where I could soak in the peaceful atmosphere. The spacious layout featured two separate beds, each with mosquito nets and A/C, along with a TV for entertainment. Despite minor issues, the overall experience offered great value for money.

The sink in my room at appeared old and somewhat dirty, indicating a need for replacement. This detracted from the overall cleanliness and comfort of the accommodation. Additionally, the bathroom could use brighter lights and some refreshment as well. I recommend addressing this issue promptly to maintain guest satisfaction.

The staff are pleasant and always ready to help out. I liked the space of the room - excellent The environment is clean, peaceful and well maintained. Great ambience Breakfast was great and there was lots of variety.

The menu - for the two nights I was served fish and meat. Please have variety Block B is a bit noisy at night from the passing vehicles- not sure if there's much to be done. The rains are here and my room B20 collected lots of water right at the doorstep. I was kept waiting at check in - was later told there were only 2 staff members on duty. One was manning the desk while the other had escorted other visitors. I had to wait for long. The garden view was just ok unlike my previous visit where I got the sea view.

I really loved the service. It was very friendly. I really liked and appreciate all the staff working there. They had such lovely way to communicate with the people. Everyone was friendly there and they made You feel very welcome. The hotel was neat and clean. The cleaning was done properly. No mosquitos or any other insects. The location was good and the hotel was cosy and beautiful. The garden and the pool area were comfortable and made You want to stay longer. Loved also the balcony. Nice place to work. The quality and price are very fine. I really recommend this hotel for the stay in Mombasa.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. The rooms were huge and had even a kitchen. Nice setting, central, good view. Very good value for money.

The hotel consists of two buildings: The Garden View Rooms, which are parallel to the main road, and the Creek View Rooms. In the Garden Rooms you can still hear the main road quiet clearly. I had no problem with that, for my sister it was too loud. If you’re sensitive to noise, consider paying a little bit more for the creek view rooms - that part is really quiet. Restaurant was a bit slow. If you’re in a hurry, choose the buffet. The bathroom and kitchen appliances were quiet chalky.

The major thing that I like about this place is its location and value for money. On one side you have the Creek view and on the other hand when you exit the hotel, its easily accesable to the Town. You wont find a place in Nyali at this price with the same services and facilities. The staff is extremly cooperative and welcoming. A very lively place at night, you wont feel bored sitting by the pool and bar with the creek view. Its been years, it has remained my choice of stay in Mombasa.

Pillows were not comfortable atall. Service is a bit slow, you need to call at least 2 times usually if you need anything. Door lock of the washroom was broken.

Very well-located hotel with nice views and a pleasant breeze coming in from the river. While it's not on the main island of Mombasa itself, then it's one of the closest of the fancier "resorts", right next to the bridge. Fairly easy to get around, either to the old town or beaches, using the local taxies and tuk-tuks (apps like Bolt and Uber come in handy for this).

While the hotel overall was fairly luxourious and well worth it's 4-star status, I felt the bathroom/showers were in need of some modernising.
