Good value in beautiful colonial building. Walking distance to main attractions in Guanajuato. Nice breakfast buffet por around USD 12.

Parking is far from the property but they escort you and bring your luggage (7 minute walk).

This is the 2nd time Ive stayed and I recommend to friends if they go to GTO. The location is quiet (away from the main square but in a centralized spot) there is a roof top view to hang out and you will be facing the Pipila. They also have a good selection of breakfast. Also there is a good coffee shop next door and a bakery down the street (2-3 minute walk) The rooms are somewhat close but still private and comfortable.

I didn't have any issues. The staff and hotel was pleasant.

This is a uniquely beautiful hotel. Every hallway, staircase, and public area is decorated nicely and with style of the period the hotel was built. The breakfast area is welcoming and pretty. The staff members are all extremely friendly and helpful. Big bonus for Americans - a young man named Daniel who grew up in the states works there. He is fun to talk to on many levels. A lot of the other staff speak English as well, but not with the accent *we* are accustomed to hearing. 😀 Our room was very comfortable all the way around.

Everything was as described and actually better.

The hotel is very well situated in El Centro. Easy entrance by taxi and very walkable to all parts of downtown. My friend and I (both women in our 60’s were never apprehensive about returning to El Maison de los Poetas after dark. The hotel is situated just off of the main streets, so the noise at night is almost non-existant. The breakfast offered is well worth the extra pesos, the buffet is delicious and the cafe con leche was bottomless! All of the hotel staff were so gracious and helpful. When I next return to this lovely city, I will definitely choose El Maison de los Poetas again.

Charming hotel with pretty decor. Our room was comfortable and clean. Hotel has two terraces with amazing views of the city. the restaurant good was good. Staff was friendly and helpful,

No air conditioner or fan, it gets really hot in Guanajuato, even with all the windows opened it the room was hot. No fan in the bathroom. No elevator, which is no problem for luggage because the hotel bellboy will carry your luggage, but for someone with mobility restrictions, walking the flight of stairs is a little problematic.

Amazing and helpful staff, the hotel is nice and clean and the location was great, everything is a walking distance. They also have an agreement with a car pension for parking during our stay - super handy in Guanajuato-

Very well-situated in the center of Guadalajara, but a little off the main drag so that the location is not exposed to too much noise. It is a good idea to explore the hotel, which is a sprawling hillside building with a maze-like layout of stairs and passageways, leading to several rooftop terraces. We were very satisfied with our clean and ample room with a balcony facing out toward the city center. We didn't try the breakfast but there are many restaurants and stores within walking distance. Best of all, the hotel staff were graciously able to correct our booking error with the wrong dates at no charge to us. We had been panicking the night before check-in after I realized the mistake with the last-minute booking (I had booked the current night instead of the following day). They also helped us arrange taxis for our transportation. Thanks to the staff here for a great stay in Guanajuato!
