Hotel Casa Barrocco Oaxaca

centrally located , private, super clean and staff was exceptional. customer service was excellent. Covid protocols were followed consistently. We felt safe because of the constant cleaning by staff. Sanitizer was also provided at door.

shower needs a barricade so water doesn’t flow into the rest of the bathroom. keep more bathroom supplies in the room. We did not like having to request toilet paper daily.

superb location just near the plaza zocalo, a top end bakery up the street, and walking distance to the whole downtown. the interior traditional courtyard one for the coffee area and one surrounded by the rooms and upstairs balcony with second level rooms is lovely. the staff was superb arranging our emit taxi setting up coming to hotel Covid return tests for our friends and even offered next day laundry service. a traditional room means cool and dark interior with a window opening into the courtyard and second floor room meant skylight in the bathroom. room and quality of the bed and linens was excellent. super quiet very little street noise, you could hear the church bells on the distance. of course with a courtyard you could hear talking but loved it. this is a well designed small boutique hotel on a building from the 1800s and it was perfect. Maigeritte the day manager was wonderful arranging even our 5 a m taxi to the airport. wonderful.

the tv in the first room we stayed at the first night didn’t work. then, the second night in a different room we stayed in, the AC was flowing in the entire room so it was really hot and my baby and i were extremely hot and sweaty and it made it uncomfortable

The location is perfect! Close to all amenities and everything is walkable in Oaxaca. The room was beautiful and spacious and the AC worked perfectly. The staff were always so helpful and available to help out. Best place to get a restful sleep after exploring.

The hot water took a while to start in the showers but it was okay.

The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating to our every need, rooms were clean, the location was perfect walking distance to sites & restaurants, and the hotel courtyards were beautiful.

The hotel room we had worked out fine, but the lighting could be better.

loved the location … Ita helped us 6 of us with getting to hotel from airport to securing cabs for us. this woman went out of her way constantly. all I had to do was tex her on What’s app. so sweet. everyone who worked there was very nice. we are still communicating with her… she’s like family now. book this hotel you will not regret it.

I wished they had breakfast but besides this it was perfect.

The room size was generous. The king sized bed very comfortable. Lots of room to unpack. Roomy closet, desk and bedside tables with drawers, large arm chair and upholstered bench. Very quiet room with 10’ ceilings. Roomy bathroom.

Shower head sprayed everywhere and the water flowed into the bathroom.

As a solo traveler, I wanted to stay close to everything and not too far away from tourist areas for safety reasons, but don't want to stay anywhere too noisy. This location is within walking distance of everything and is super close to some great panaderias, coffee spots, etc. The bed was super comfortable, great Air Conditioning, hot water with good water pressure, and good WiFi connection as I had to work for 3 days of my trip. I did so, and even did video calls with no problem. Also I can't say enough about the helpfulness of everyone in the hotel from the front desk to the woman who cleaned my rooms. They helped by cleaning around my ever-changing schedule, greeted me warmly when I came and went, and arranged taxis to the airport when I left. If I come back to Oaxaca, I would definitely stay here again. Absolutely loved it.

I wouldn't say there wasn't anything I didn't like, though I wasn't sure if food and/or coffee was served here or not. Maybe provide a little clearer information about it.

helpful staff. literally the best location. massive bed. good pillows. wifi was decent. would stay here again. they organised our taxi to airport no problem. didn’t use the restaurant, so can’t comment.

could be a little noisy outside the room, but only til 10pm. it was fine.

great location. Ita who works there. goes over and beyond she can do anything for you from getting someone to pick you up at the airport to choosing different tours around town. She’ll also tell you great little restaurants and bakeries. She’s amazing love the hotel the rooms are great
