The location was great: Just across the river from and within easy walking distance to the Centro Histórico. The property sits on a smaller street just off a few very busy arteries, but in general street noise was nonexistent at this hotel. Also liked that from this hotel, many other areas of the city besides the Centro Histórico are also easily accessible on foot. The male staff member on site during the daytime was also very cheerful and accommodating, which is always pleasant.
The water from the faucet at our bathroom sink was just a tiny trickle, making it generally difficult to use (for washing hands, etc.) and at times not usable at all. Our room also didn’t have an exterior window ~ interior only ~ but that wasn’t a big issue as other positives made up for it.

You can everything from inside the room, including normal voices in the hall or lobby. The sink provided only a trickle of water.

The price was affordable and it was in downtown.
The parking lot isn’t a actual lot, they have space to park two cars in front of the rooms and you need to talk to the owner of the other car to see who will be leaving first so you can park the cars accordingly. They lock the gate to enter the hotel at 12pm.

No air conditioning, no fan. Due to location, you can hear cars going by all the time and constant banging from construction. Security is also a concern because anyone can walk in as there is no security or front door - it's a garage entrance.

The door handle did not work, it got fixed though but it was a setback, there was no hot water, and there were footmarks on the ceiling.
