it’s brand new so it was very clean and the aloft brand is general is always very cute decor with a modern youthful vibe. it’s also super close to everything but not so close that the noise from 5th keeps you up at night. the rooftop pool is also very nice with well priced drinks at the bar.

we paid extra for a balcony room but our view was of an empty lot, probably the worst view I’ve ever had. there was also only one chair on the balcony. definitely do not recommend paying extra for a balcony it’s not worth it. the same view can be seen from the ocean side of the rooftop pool but if you stand back far enough you just see the ocean which is nice. we were also charged more than what was on our receipt and staff was very unhelpful with why that happened so we will have to figure it out with bank

Great location and reasonable price.

No chairs or table on the balcony, which defeats the purpose of booking a room with balcony.

Everything is clean and nice and the swimming pool is amazing!

Breakfast is not up to the other standards of the hotel. It should be improved.

I stayed in the Queen Room with Two Queen Beds and Balcony and I thought the size of the room was very comfortable. The bathroom shower layout was also very comfortable. The location is very convenient with it being right above a grocery store and walking distance to plenty of good food and drink options. I would gladly consider coming back to this hotel again.

Like many other hotels, the TV did not have any streaming features to wirelessly cast my media apps from my phone. The internet was "unsecure", which make it incompatible with connecting to my work computer's Cisco AnyConnect. Instead, I had to rely on my work phone's hotspot. It feels like the unsecure wi-fi is a pretty simple IT problem to fix. But in general, there wasn't too much to complain about!

Beautiful, big rooms, calming beautiful furniture and decoration, very clean throughout, housekeeping excellent, bathroom was beautiful with great water pressure, hot water at all times, ventilation, etc. Beds super comfy. Blackout curtains! Quiet rooms overlooking the interior yard which is rare for Playa. Overall a great place for shorter stays.

I rented a studio and then a King room for a couple more days (both with balconies), and liked both rooms, lovely tastefully decorated, new, both had the same facilities such as a small fridge and coffee/tea maker which was all I needed. I did expect however that the studio apartment would be equipped with at least a microwave to reheat leftover food or something similar which was not the case. Anyway, not a big deal as the place is great, just something to note in case other folks have similar expectations.

New modern and clean hotel in a favourable location. Very nice pool terrace and gym. Rooms were comfy and had nice modern design.

The breakfast was nothing special. Too few options. Actually skipped breakfast the second day. Slightly noisy aircondition.

Panorama roof with bar, infinity pools, chill music, beach club vibes was awesome! Kind staff, especially the elder gentleman who managed us to navigate to reception from the other part of the huge building. Clean, well designed, new hotel having a supermarket and restaurants options downstairs.

Bit long check in process. Asked for a higher floor seaview room, got placed on lower floor city view, right above a gigantic ventillation system creating a contant 0-24 noise like a boing-747 jet engine while taxiing to runway. Should have mentioned this before, or offer min 25% discount at booking, since this noise level is not acceptable in such a quality hotel in full price. Fortunately had earplugs.

Central location to beach, restaurants and shopping. Brand new modern facilities. Comfortable, well appointed room, nice balcony. Pleasant staff.

There was a misunderstanding about the free parking that was included. It was not clear that we were supposed to use the key card to exit the public parking garage located on the ground floor of the hotel. They said to press the button to get the ticket when entering the garage which I understood to mean that we would be reinbursed for parking. I explained this to the manager Javier Rosas but he was not helpful and I ended up paying an unexpected US$35 in parking charges.

Really good location, 3mins walk from La Quinta Avenida. Hotel offers a really convenient free underground parking that also serves customers of a modern supermarket (always handy in case you need something) in the same building. Hotel is new, clean, modern and well decorated. Breakfast was good, also make sure you don`t miss the infinity pool and bar on the rooftop. Good quality for money.

One major complaint - the windows in the room cannot be opened. Quite inconvenient and you only need to rely on the AC. Speaking of air conditioning - there was a constant humming noise from a humongous air conditioning unit placed in the inner yard of the hotel (maybe used by the supermarket underground) - so maybe opening the windows wouldn`t have worked at all.
