The hotel is close to Walmart and other Mexican grocery stores on 30th avenue. It is next to the municipal building and park which has lots of festivals with great food and People!!! It's close to 5th avenue if you want the tourist hot spot for shopping, food, excitement you are walking distance. The beach is with in 5–10-minute walk. If you want to stay away from the crowds, I recommend going to the playa off 88th which you can get to on 44th and walk to beach to a quiet spot. There is lots of great food around from Mexican, Jewish, Vegan, Latin American, and your American chain restaurants. The staff was friendly and there when you need them.

I loved that your walking distance to the beach and the popular 5th Street and mall/shopping center. Your also surrounded by good restaurants and the Mercado is also just steps away. breakfast is included with the stay which is like having breakfast at home and nothing fancy but very yummy. and if you didn’t have time to get dolled up before your vacation, not to worry, there are a lot of places just a block away that you will find where to get a haircut your nails done or even your lashes installed at a very affordable price.  Thank you Gran SAHARA, for upgrading my room and for the hospitality I will definitely stay here again..

The staff was exceptional….Ishmael,Massimo,2 Alberto’s,and Alejandra were always pleasant and willing to assist with our minor problems. The staff at the restaurant were always pleasant and fun and enjoyed our attempts in Spanish.Perla had a great smile. Housekeeping was excellent.We give an A+ to all the employees.

There are always minor problems but the staff fixed all immediately.The rooftop deck with pool could be fixed up to be more versatile and attractive.Some nice new chairs,tables and umbrellas would help and say goodbye to the indoor outdoor green funky carpet and old plastic chairs.

The pool on the roof was really nice. The room was big enough with a small balcony. Breakfast was served in the restaurant just opposite. This was breakfast a la carte - you get the coupon worth 95 pesos and you choose from the menu. If the price is bigger you pay extra, but don't worry: for 95 pesos you can really have a good meal (I chose delicious hamburger with French fries)

I like everything about the hotel, but I didn't like Playa del Carmen: the beach and water is full of seaweed which smell badly (it is not possible to swim or walk along the beach). The other thing is rainbow flags - they are everywhere and there were some parades of LGBT perverts :(((, This was really disgusting.

Great location. Just minutes to the beach, but just outside the loud part of the city center. great places for breakfast/lunch/dinner just outside the hotel. Got a nice parkigspot in the garage, which is being locked up at night. Nice pool area on the roof and a lovely interior in the hotel.

Rooms could be cleaned better.

The "Classico"was meager but excellent since I don't eat it at home-good bacon and eggs just right.

I wish the safes had working combination locks, I lost my first key and had to pay 500P to replace it. The staff was helpful and good humored though it was really a pain in the burro. OH,and the TV had only 2 volume setting,too low and TOO LOUD!-Room 39,check it out.

The staff was hospitable and responsive. Nice pool. Gave me a room on the first floor.

a) Water was only hot on my last day. b) The toilet had a stain, they shouldn't be giving out that room. c) Very European type of room.

Great location, close to the beach and to the city center, pool is small but clean.

Room are clean but could use a more modern/fresh deco.

Great location near 5th avenue and bus station We got the room in renovated part of the hotel which was very nice, spacious and lightful. Beds were comfortable, there is a balcony with street view, also a pretty pool on the roof. Good value for money.

When we came, there were some problems with Wi-fi connection but during the day, it was in function. Pressure in the shower and and sink were quite weak...

We booked last minute and wanted something central and cheap just for one night. Not as luxurious as other locations at Playa but it was more than enough for one night. Very happy with our choice.

The breakfast we got offered wasn't great. It is not at the hotel but at a restaurant across the street and the included options were not that great. I was expecting something better to be honest.
