Occidental at Xcaret Destination - All Inclusive

Always something to do, conventional dive shop with snorkeling and dive tours to choose from. Lots of food choices. The balconies were beautiful and the resort had ruins in it and connected to Explor which is cool. The staff were AMAZING. So sweet, fun, and informative. Massages at the spa were amazing. Ask for a scooby doo snack shot for a good alcoholic choice!!

Mask policy was enforced but with weird rules/regulations. There was no open beach that was actually part of the ocean, so no paddleboarding, no kayaks, no other water sports, no jet ski options, no parasailing options in the resort, even though it says water sports are part of it. Like all resorts, drinks were typically watered down, but the shots they made were amazing.

the evening buffet was really hit and miss for food, more variety needed and better quality food, no water sports available would have been great to have jet ski at an extra cost, drinks menu would have been good

Check in was not on time One room was ready and not the other at 5 pm ( 2 hours after check in time @ 3pm) and we got to the hotel at 12 noon. Apology was given ,later checkout offered( but was not accepted based on flight time) Special preference was given for dinner reservations instead

The place is stunning - beautiful green park full of animals. It was the main reason why we chose this hotel, and we enjoyed a lot. Personnel is super helpful and polite. Restaurants at the territory provide nice and tasty options for dinner. Xcaret park is lovely - go there at least once, and for night show too, we were really impressed.

Food is not 5-star, and cocktails are really bad.

the dress code for the all a carte restaurants. Men should be allowed to wear knee length smart shorts. it’s 29 degrees out there and trousers is not fun. especially if women are allowed to wear short short skirts (seen on many of an occasion). smart shorts look far smarter then some of the scruffy pairs of jeans that was seen

The hotel complex was really beautiful and so close to the nature with alot of animals walking around free. It was really close to Xcaret park that also is a lovley experience. Special thanks to the staff in building 21 especially Pavel Garibay and Geofrey Stevens who were very serviceminded and had alot of advices were to go and what to do.

The food didnt taste that much and their soda was alway old and had no gas left in it.

How smoothly everything went. And the pools were fantrastic. Also the beach restaurant for breakfast and lunch -- by far the best value, the best food, and a great setting.

Food could have been better, but it was good enough for an all-inclusive resort. Not surprisingly, the Mexican offerings were far and away the best.

This property is beautiful. It’s huge! The beach cabanas are amazing, and we loved eating breakfast on the waterfront and staking out our area for the day. I loved all the animals on-site - was really not expecting that. It’s very much a jungle paradise. Food was also really good, especially by all inclusive standards.

We did an excursion one day on a catamaran. It was sold to us by an on-site resort activities coordinator. Make sure you ask questions like how long the shuttle ride is to the marina because we ended up spending 4 hours round trip on the road. The Reef was not healthy, and there were way too many people on our boat and at the snorkeling zone to make it enjoyable. Snorkel at the resort’s protected cove instead.

We loved the setting in the jungle with the beautiful wildlife. We loved the pools and that there were several throughout the property. The salt pool at the ocean was amazing! We liked that there were several bars. The staff was accommodating and friendly. We booked a junior suite and stayed in building 20; 20104. We loved the location and the size of the room.

The food was just subpar. The specialty restaurants were just ok, not really good. Some areas need painting in the common areas, and some of the rocks in the pool need cleaning.

Beach confortable, you can relax and vry close there is the bar. I loved the adult area, it's a pool build close to the rocks and connected directly to the sea by a channel, full of colorful fish, perfect to relax and no croud. Breakfast was fantastic, you can find almost everithing to the buffet for all the taste. Room (suite concergie): was nice and big with a huge closed storage, king size bed and small tableper two for drinks, no remarks. Air condition system not noisy, only little bit umid, but what you can pretend in rain season.... The hotel is inside the Xcaret park so you are inside the nature with also the animals. The hotel is also close xcaret, xplor and xsense parks.

pay attention to the drinks quality/tipology if you are not VIP. no other remarks.
