Hotel María de la Luz by Rotamundos

the hotel is on the main square which is buzzy in the evening. The rooms are basic but spacious and the water was always hot and the a/c worked well and it was spotlessly clean. The pool is nice - you can actually swim in it (we found a lot of hotel pools on the Yucatan peninsula had pools that were unusably tiny). The restaurant isn't part of the hotel but shares the premises and there is also a rooftop bar which looks over the square. The staff at reception were helpful. it's about 4 mins walk from the ADO bus station.

Great location on the zocalo. Easy walking and access to points of interest, tours, transportation and restaurants. The pool was clean and there is plenty of seating outside at pool/restaurant level and on the balconies fronting the rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the access to the upstairs restaurant/bar for evening drinks overlooking the plaza. The downstairs restaurant is higher end, with excellent food.

This is a beautiful older building, which is in need of updating and some maintenance. For example, the area around the pool is not designed well, being overgrown and without much room around the edges. Some of the metal railings and support beams are badly rusted and the whole place needs paint. But this is reflected in the price.

Hotel Maria is perfectly located on the corner of the main square as you drive into Valladolid from most anywhere. It’s an older hotel with a fine restaurant with a park view that also has outside dining with a pool view, the property has a large landscaped pool. Staff is very friendly and helpful and you can’t beat the location & price. The property also has free on site parking, and has a very nice furnished terrace with a pool view for the second floor rooms.

The rooms need updating and there isn’t internet in the rooms, but there is internet on the property and in the restaurant.

Very central close to everything! Just infront of the plaza. Staff very friendly and there's a very nice restaurant just down-- they serve really goooood food! Authentic with a touch of class and it's not that expensive neither! Plus they clean the room always so it's very clean.

It was just a bit outdated and rooms a bit small. Also u hear a lot of people in the corridor.

Dirty around the swimming pool, bed needs to be renewed.

Great location, centre of city. Secure/shades parking in site. Good restaurant, terrace for breakfast overlooking pool, inside seating looking at the square and rooftop balcony overlooking square at night.

Room a little dated

Location was perfect, nice rooftopbar and pool. Bit old but everything you need is present

Cold shower with little pressure, small beds and no safe.

Big clear window into room from the corridor, so you have to keep the curtains closed whole day which makes the room dark.

Great room with great A/C. Big pool. Really good restaurant right near the pool. Across the street from the main square. Everything you could want plus extremely affordable.

In the center, close to everything.

A bit noisy at night due to the people going to the terrace ( restaurant), but I think this was particularly noisy due to the location of our rooms.
