Everything about the property is great. Central location in the midst of Thamel yet so quiet and peaceful you would not know you were in the middle of a bustling city. Generous rooms, nice and clean. Amazing hot showers and a great breakfast. Lovely romantic garden especially when lit up at night. The owner and the staff are exceptional. they could not be more helpful and go above and beyond. We stayed as a base for a split trip, hiking in the Everest region and then touring round to Pokhara and Chitwan National Park. safe luggage storage available. Couldn’t ask for more.

The staff were the highlight of this trip - everyone of them was efficient, friendly, funny and kind. Nothing was a problem for them. We had beers in the garden bar at night and the food we had was really nice, including the breakfasts. The room was fine, beds comfortable and large bathrooms.

From the airport pickup (which was faultless) to the arrival at the hotel and check-in, everything was superb! My room was as requested (with balcony) and larger than anticipated. The hotel is in a central location in Thamel and within easy walking distance of many cafes, bars & restaurants as well as Durbar Square, the Garden of Dreams and even the Monkey Temple. However, the main benefit of the hotel is the staff who are, without exception, very friendly and extremely helpful. If I ever return to Kathmandu, the DOM Himalaya Hotel will be top of my list of places to stay.

The floor of the wetroom/bathroom can get very slippy after a shower - beware! Also, the fire pit outside reception got very smoky in the evenings - but I suspect this did serve its main purpose of keeping bugs away.

We returned to the hotel after 6 days and all the staffs welcomed us. The hotel upgraded the room to a larger room at no extra charge. It was 2pm, but the room was not cleaned yet so we waited for a while. The room has a heater and the hot water works well. The breakfast staffs were friendly ,kind. All the staffs always smile and greet. Overall we are so satisfied with staying hotel.

We took a taxi called by the hotel to the airport. I checked several times before taking the fare. When I arrived at the airport, he asked me to double the fare. We did not give, but it was an unpleasant experience.

The wifi could be more stable, but this is Just a small issue, the time we spent there were great.

the hotel is in a good location in thamel touristic area. there is a delicious restaurant on site. the breakfast was good. hotel offers airport transfer which is a nice touch. i also appreciated the slippers and toiletries. the best part is the staff. they are truly nice people and helped me with tours, drivers, airport transfers. once you arrive you are given some fresh juice which was delicious and when you leave a beautiful silk scarf for farewell. truly great people and a beautiful clean hotel. will definitely return.

Friendly staff, especially Nabaraj who always went out of his way to accommodate us. They made fire outside at night where you can chill and have a drink. The owners mingled with guests as well and were very friendly. We stayed there twice and got upgraded to a bigger rooftop room once.

Eventhough we got upgraded to a bigger room, the shower in it didn't have hot water and it leaked on the floor quite a bit. We had to go shower in a different room. The power went off multiple times, but luckily their generator kicks in after a short time.

Thank you to absolutely all staff for they help and support during my stay in KTM. Big and clean room with private balcony, food at the restaurant was amazing inc buffet breakfast with so many options to chose from! People working at the reception were great and so helpful! My bag was lost and they did everything to help me including calling airport/ airlines many times to find out when it would be delivered! Thank you so much!!!
