Radisson Hotel Kathmandu

Variety of food items meet the requirement of almost every visiting customer. Any thing special can be made to order by staff/kitchen. I am a chronic patient with strict dietary restriction but didn't face any problem. I stayed here for five nights & six days, on personal trip, with my wife and grandson aged 2+ yrs and during my entire period of stay, never faced any issue or problem on any front. Almost every time the breakfast, lunch or dinner was made and served to me in line with my taste/liking or choice or requirement. The staff was extremely helpful and even the Master Chef or the Executive Chef were ready to cook food items as per my requirement. I travel globally but such personalized service and care is not available at all places. Special thanks to Master chef Mr Bhab and Executive Chef Mr Dass and the service staff.

1. Casual attitude of housekeeping staff. Reluctant to refill green tea pouches. I don't take tea and Coffee (medical advice). In the absence of regular and proper refill; I was solely dependent on the quota of Green tea, I had brought from India. 2. Poor availability of travel desk personal. Tried twice on different days, but no luck. The cars attached to hotel charges arbitrarily without any check on them.

The Radisson comprises two 'wings' - the old/original hotel and the new wing a short stroll across a courtyard. The old and new share facilities - the extensive gym with pool and relaxing steam room and sauna (simply bliss after doing EBC or similar) in the original hotel and comprehensive spa in the new wing. You can use the restaurants, cafes, bars in either and book to your room regardless whether you are accommodated in the old or new (this is very convenient and seamless). The staff are all very friendly, helpful and professional. There is a very good/cheap laundry service next to the new wing and some nice places to eat (the Namaste Cafe and Vino Bistro to name two) within 200m of the new wing. Would I stay again, absolutely and I would not bother trying somewhere else.

I was accommodated in the new wing which was very nice. My only criticism was the noise made by other inconsiderate people when closing (more slamming) the large wooden bedroom doors.

centralized location which helps a lot. very good ambiance and helpful staff. nice and clean, fresh setup and availability of facilities. smooth and easy process for check in and out and quite helpful in that too.

it was a bit costlier than usual or average rates. but that is quite understandable being holiday season. but it should not impact much on business hotels. so it's not negative on hotel's part but maybe my timings.

The food was very good and had great selection at breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable. The gym was great

It was raining very heavy and to get to the gym you had to go outside. A member of staff told me to go my room to get a umbrella which I myself nor my room had. I found that quite rude. I had to ask him to find me one. But if you have a season called "monsoon season" then keeping a umbrella at the reception of the pool would make sense

I expected a good hotel and was not disappointed. The best of the Radisson are certainly the staff, very friendly and helpful, but also the restaurant has a good, wide choice, and the breakfast buffet is very rich (to the point that I chose a simpler option). Overall, a very fine place to stay in Kathmandu.

The facilities are quite run down, especially the pool/gym and spa, so the price I paid didn't seem like a good value. The iron and hairdryer are very old. Little toilet paper in the bathroom

The team at Radisson Kathmandu went out of their way the make my stay absolutely memorable. On the night of Laxmi Puja I had a great surprise in the form of some fabulous local sweets and a candle delivered to my room. Every single member of staff helped me to feel home and been extremely helpful throughout my entire stay and made all aspects of my life easier and more comfortable, it is much appreciated! Sonum has even managed to support me in getting one step ahead on my journey of understanding something I personally find fascinating… The astonishingly rich local heritage and Newar traditions. Special thank you to the team, will be back and definitely recommend to friends and family, Namaste!

It was a suitable location, close distance to the agencies I had to visit. The rooms are really good. But most important, the internet has high quality (stable and adequate speed).

Breakfast could have been better. And also an opportunity to have some drinks and food affect 22:00. Then only option via room service

The reception at the main building was outstanding. Every request was attended to immediately and the attitude of the staff was fantastic. In particular we would like to mention a special person, Ganga Maya Tamang, who went to great lengths to take care of us and assisted us in many ways, Thank you Ganga.

There is nothing to dislike about this place and the people who attended to us were so very helpful.

Felt like no ventilation in bathroom, there was an odd stale smell in bathroom when we checked in, but other than that, everything was fine
