The service was great. When I got there, I received a complementary drink. Later in the day, I asked the hotel if they could print something out for me later in the day. They said they could. I later said that I might have them print it out the next day which they also agreed to. As I was in the car ready to leave, the bartender came out to my car to let me know that if I needed a print out, to do it by a certain time. My car was in their parking lot but not close. I felt like a valued customer of the hotel because they went out of their way to accommodate me

The small unique hotel and restaurant staff are amazing. They went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed and we're enjoying our stay. The facility is clean and located very conveniently (€15 Uber) to Keukenhof. Thanks Erik and Rob!

Be sure to ask which room you're booking. Some rooms are accessed by a steep set of open, outdoor stairs to climb. Not a problem for most people but if you have heavy bags or are uncomfortable with steep open stairs then choose another room. Also if having AC is important to you be sure to ask for a room with it (not all rooms do).

The room is lovely and modern with a very nice bathroom. The people were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant is was lovely with what seemed like a lot of locals around. So we really enjoyed the vibe. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel, so it was really easy to travel to. I would even stay there again if I need to be near Schiphol. It takes a while on the bus, but it is all very comfortable. And I can imagine this is the perfect place to stay during tulip season.

Drink upon arrival, very nice! The room was cozy and enough space for a queen size bed. Windows can be opened to let in some fresh air. The bathroom was clean and has everything you need. I had a room above the restaurant and you have a nice view to the main road. The restaurant is a beautiful old restaurant with plenty of history, delicious food and plenty of drinks to choose from and drink off. Really nice, chatty and professional staff that works at the hotel and the restaurant. Free parking for all and there is plenty of parking for everyone.

Very busy main road, so there can be some noise that not everyone likes, especially if you keep your window open. The shower at the bottom in the corners had some mold, which I didn't like. I didn't mind, but if you have a room above the restaurant: there is no elevator, so you have to take the stairs next to the restaurant.

Very friendly and helpfull staff. Good location for visiting nearby park, also public transport (local bus) is just in front of the restaurant. Excellent breakfast!. Also dinner in the hotel restaurant was good.

There are very (!) steep outside steel stairs for the rooms in the first floor, must be very careful when going down. In summer lack of climatization device could be issue, there is just a ventilator in the room.

Wonderful staff. Nice, clean and comfortable room. I arrived without a car and it's a good location if you want to see other towns by public transport. The bus stops just outside the hotel and it will take you either directly to some other towns or to stations where you can easily change to a train or bus to reach other locations. It all runs smoothly. I also liked that I could rent and pick up a bike outside the hotel to go around Lisse and surrounding areas. It's convenient to have a restaurant where you are staying with good food. I'm glad I decided to stay in Lisse and not the bigger cities. The countryside and people in it and surrounding areas are strikingly friendly, down to earth, sociable.

The only down-point would be that if you are not used to living next to a road with cars passing by you will think about it. After two nights I kind of got used to it, and the benefits of the place outweighed it.

Location was ideal for our visit to Keukenhof The inclusive breakfast was very good and the in-house dining opportunity excellent. The addition of a picnic (prepared by de Engel) for our day out was brilliant! Great shower and bathroom facilities, and very useful bike rental service for local use.

The access to our two rooms (2+2 people) wasn’t insurmountable, but I feel that it should be made more obviously apparent when making the booking. We had 5 pieces of heavy luggage to hoist up the steep staircase (due to long travel) and it was difficult. Perhaps install a “dumb waiter”, for the luggage at least?

The room was spacious clean and well maintained, plenty of tea, coffee etc was put in the room daily. Bathroom was very clean and well stocked with toiletries, great shower. Breakfast was exceptional with plenty of variety (hot and cold) The restaurant was equally kept to a high standard, all the staff were friendly and helpful with no language barriers. The quality of the food was exceptional as was the portion size great value for money.

I honestly can not find fault with any part of our stay, If I have to put something I didn't like I would only say that the steepness of the stairs up to the rooms could be an issue for anyone that is suffering from mobility problems( only rooms 1 to 4) all other rooms had easy access.

The staff were very engaging, super friendly and very helpful. A very warm welcome upon arrival and made us feel valued as guests. Would highly recommended eating in the restaurant - very good. The bar has a nice atmosphere. Breakfast was ideal for what we wanted.

We were a little disappointed with the room for the price paid. It was smaller than we had hoped and quite basic. Perfectly fine for what we needed but for the price paid, we did perhaps have higher expectations. The bathroom was very nice though and the shower was great. That all being said, this was a great hotel with wonderful staff which made up for the little disappointment in the room.

I loved that the property was so close to the Keukenhof Garden. They had a great breakfast and their staff was wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable.

The room was definitely smaller than we’d expected. It was a tight fit for a family although we got the “family” room. Additionally, the steep steps were tough to get luggage up and down. It would be difficult for those with limited mobility.
