Hotel Not Hotel Rotterdam

Only a 5min walk from the train station. A really quirky hotel with themed rooms, some of which you won't even notice. Very clean hotel and the staff were great. Room looked like it had only recently been decorated so was fresh and clean. Shower was amazing!

We had the smallest room I've ever stayed in. 4m x 2m, including the toilet and shower! (I did know this in advance). Perfectly fine for a one night stay as we did but couldn't do more than that. Fine for younger folks but not us middle-aged ones! If your claustrophobic might be best to upgrade to the next sized rooms.

Located a block away from the main train station, the hotel was very easy to find. It came in extremely useful when rushing to catch a tram to our planned activities. The best part, however, was the mesmerizing designs inside of the hotel, which felt the trippiest at night. It was truly like discovering a fantasy land!

There's quite a bit of stairs to get through to access some of the rooms. While it's not a huge amount of walking, the stairs are rather shallow and sometimes steep, which required extra attention even wearing normal, city-walking shoes. I'd advise to keep it in mind when packing for the trip - better take bags that are easy to carry upstairs.

Room was very soundproof, bed comfortable, location couldn’t have been better (right next to the train station), private shower/bathroom, nice design

Staff not too helpful. We got a number we texted a couple of times (I.e. when our sink was blocked) and they didn’t respond. We had some questions but the person at the desk didn’t know the answer (I.e if we could do our laundry with them as we were there for two weeks. We ended up doing it in a laundromat nearby). We had frequent cleaning but there was confusion about when they would come and they always changed the sheets (great!) but never vacuumed :(

The staff were so helpful and friendly, particularly the bar staff in Jesus Malverde. Breakfast was excellent, especially the smoothie bowl. The room was small, but that was expected as the square footage is detailed in the room description, the bed was comfortable, room was clean and a lovely welcome card was waiting for us when we arrived. Brilliant location and a perfect base when staying in Rotterdam.

The only window looked out in to the foyer and there wasn't privacy glass so we kept the curtain closed. Soundproofing. Music is played in the foyer from 09:30, which can be heard in the room. Not really a problem, but if you were planning to enjoy the night life in Rotterdam, then a lie in the next morning might be tricky.

There are many nice things to remember - the staff was friendly and helpful - esp. when I couldn't open my room by myself. I also loved the 'invisible butler' sheet at the reception - very creative :) I booked a room in the 'Secret Bookcase' section of the hotel and really loved it! Loved it so much that I even took a polaroid picture of me with the bookcase behind the day of the check-out. I also appreciated the handwritten welcome postard waiting for me on the table - small things matter, you know! Can't help but mention the climate and the lighting control system - very handy! The interior of the hotel is just mindblowing. I think a took a photo of just about every corner on my floor. ;)

Around the time of my stay there were contstruction works going on nearby which made it a bit difficult to navigate the hotel. The view from my room could have been better, too. But the location couldn't have been better - just a 5 minutes' walk from the central station. So we'll definitely let it slide :)

Staff young and enthusiastic and very helpful and friendly, location excellent next to bus and railway stations, major tram stop close. Trams recommended. Hotel very quirky and interesting, never stayed anywhere quite like it, but enjoyable. Breakfast was very good, option of a 'full' continental or you can order individual items from the menu, we chose the latter and found it suited our requirements. Overall a very enjoyable experience for two OAPs of advanced age.

Had booked a small room but did not expect it to be as small as it was, more room in our tent. However the ensuite was good, and for a short stay it was adequate. If your young and agile no problems, don't let this comment put you off.

A hotel with a difference. A themed hotel with complete individuality in the bar restraunt stairs and each room. I got a good last minute deal on this room for 1 night to the ferry. I had a pleasant surprise at check in Air Con. It was 37degC when I arrived here. Best nights sleep all week. I found the bar as expected dear as it is very central but the beer was nice. The staff were very friendly and they had my favorite whisky. Parking for bikes and motor bikes were free on the large walkway outside reception cars had to use multi story car park £per day. En suite Shower was good but no coffee or tea as they want you in the bar.

Cost of drinks. Some stairs hasd no handrails because of the Art theme effect.

The room was small and basic, but clean, quiet and nicely designed. Great to relax in after sightseeing . Shower, sink and toilet were clean and worked well . Staff were helpful. The decoration inside the hotel is fabulous, especially the family room. The restaurant is more like a cocktail bar that sells delicious small dishes of tacos and loaded tortillas. Great location near Rotterdam Central, ideal base for day trips by train, in walking distance for museums and sights in Rotterdam and close to variety of cafes and restaurants

Unique, quirky, fascinating! Lovely stay and perfect choice in Rotterdam. I arrived late at the Central Station. The hotel is a short walk, less than 5 minutes door to door. The “come to Jesus” sign was all I needed to know I was in the right place! Excellent Mexican restaurant on ground level (Jesus Malverde) with the best margaritas! Must try the one with avacado. You won’t be disappointed. Staff are amazing and give excellent service! Tom introduced me to Mezcal and the 3 grades available. They have a tasting menu. Fantastic way to spend the evening with taco Tuesday and drinks! The bed at Hotel Not Hotel was so comfy I slept like a baby! The man who checked me in helped carry my heavy bag to the 2nd level. What service! Wouldn’t hesitate to return here!

There is no lift but that wasn’t a problem with the wonderful staff on hand to assist.

The hotel's location was superb, being incredibly close to the central train station. The breakfast options were also delightful, offering a variety of choices or an all-in-one basket at a reasonable price. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to assist. The unique ambiance of the hotel added to its charm and appeal.

The only minor setback for me was the presence of stairs; due to a knee issue, they posed a slight challenge. Nevertheless, the other outstanding aspects of the hotel more than made up for this inconvenience.
