Delta Hotel

It was lovely to watch the boats go by whilst having breakfast, the beds were super comfortable and the staff were very friendly and always happy to help. The breakfast was really good, it would have been nice to see some variety between days as it was the same breakfast items throughout our 5 day stay. The location is also very accessible, with the motorway less than 5 minutes drive away and the train station 10 minutes walk, it was easy to get in and out of Rotterdam from the hotel.

Not enough plug sockets, none next to the bed so you can't charge your phone whilst in bed.

This hotel was top-notch! The room and bed were comfortable and roomy with a nice bathroom, robes included. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and even offered to make us dinner since we came in late after the restaurant closed. We went to Burger King instead because we didn't want to put them out, but the offer was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was outstanding with lots of good choices!

The Seagulls outside our room were a bit noisy, but that is to be expected on the river. The view from the river was mostly industrial, but it is still a nice place to stay.

Marine-themed hotel with fantastic staff. They prepared a welcome kit for our dog which we appreciated. The location by the canal is peaceful and quiet with plenty of parking space. Very close to the metro stop, shops and other facilities. Rotterdam is only 20 minutes away by train. Breakfast is OK, food in the afternoon is a bit pricey but good. Free wifi is widely available with good bandwidth.

The room was overall very clean, just a bit dusty on the furniture.

Easy on site parking, a friendly welcome by the staff and a nicely appointed room with excellent views of the river. The room had a fridge, kettle, tea/coffee facilities, flat screen tv, straight forward and strong wi-fi and working air conditioning. The beds were comfortable and had decent pillows. The shower was over the bath but with a good water pressure and small toiletries were supplied. We ate an evening meal in the restaurant, without reservation, for a reasonable price. Great table by the riverside with good service and attention from the staff. Breakfast the next morning was very good, with an excellent range of hot and cold foods, cereals, fruit, meats, cheeses, juices, breads, rolls and pastries which were constantly monitored and topped up by staff. You could also request a fried egg if you so wanted! Great service by the reception staff who advised us on visiting the centre of Rotterdam, which was simple to do by using the nearby metro station and a day ticket for €9. Would definitely stay here again and was very convenient for the Hoek van Holland ferry.

An interesting location if you're into ship watching. Decent enough room with air conditioning (which is needed in the summer). Good breakfast although, as others have commented, they could really do with a second coffee machine to reduce the queue when it's busy. Free parking is a bonus and no problems with the Wi-Fi. It's an easy trip to Rotterdam on the metro but you need to allow at least 30 mins for the walk to the station and the journey ( a day ticket from the hotel cost €8.50). The hotel advised that a water taxi would be very expensive (€85) but I've a feeling you could find a better deal. The hotel dinner menu didn't look very inspiring and we only found a couple of restaurants within easy walking distance. The China Garden is about 5 mins upstream and popular with the locals. The Pittstop is also worth considering, if you don't mind mixing it with truckers and the clientele for the massage business above!

The constant rumble from the port, which is understandable given its location, would really get on our nerves on a longer stay. There was some confusion over the booking and we didn't end up getting the view we'd hoped for - do check carefully the photos when booking. I think we stayed in the old section of the hotel and our room felt overpriced. We wouldn't stay again at that price unless we got a better room for it.

The room and the bathroom was spacious and the hotel provided a big cushion and a bowl for the dog. The parking place next to the hotel was free. I could walk the dog outside the property. The room where the very good breakfast was served, had a nice view to the river. It was easy to reach Rotterdam by car within 15 minutes.

To come to my room I had to pass a kind of bar that was very, very crowded on Friday evening (there was a reception) and I could hardly reach the elevator with my lugagge and the dog. Nobody was wearing a mask.

The location is just amazing. You could sit there all day watching the ships pass by. The food was excellent, very good menu with just the right number of choices. La Chouffe on draught, lovely. It was our fifth time staying there, and we will be back. Nice and friendly staff, a big improvement on previous stays. Keep up the good work.

The rooms could be updated and modernised. They haven't changed in years. I am sure that will come too.

Very nice hotel in Vlaardingen. The room was a reasonable size, nicely decorated and quiet. Staff were friendly and breakfast good. Amazing views from the breakfast room onto the river. Less than 10 min walk to the metro to get into Rotterdam. The hotel is in a cul de sac so we felt the bikes were safe enough on the sidewalk

The suite I had (003) had no view to speak of and was accessed by a small flight of stairs which I found difficult as I suffer from arthritis. Also beware when ordering taxis from the hotel. They can take anything from 30 to 60 mins to arrive.

2nd stay at the Delta. Staff as friendly and helpful as before. Great location by the water. Handy for customer visits in and around the Schiedam area.

Prices of river view rooms seemed a lot higher than at my last stay a year ago, so I went park side. Still a nice view, and tbh didn't make a lot of difference for the amount of time I spent in the room.
