ASURE Colonial Lodge Motel

Lots to do for children, great privacy, central location. Loved the small things, tissues, horse lines, fly spray all provided in accom. Even sunscreen provided at the pool area. Loved the attention to detail, glasses & cutlery were polished, rooms were nice & clean, outdoor eating space provided with every unit, BBQ area was great. Deserves a higher star rating tbh 🙂 Would defs return. Thank you for a great stay, a much needed holiday for my family & I after a rough start to the year ❤️

Just one small thing to help improve service. If a universal remote could be provided to use for Main TV, would be handy to stream devices to smart TVs especially for business online calls etc? Maybe keep it avail at reception if needed?

The beds were very comfy outstanding even. And the kitchenette was awesome Love having sky. Kids could watch a movie at night. Great having the fold down bed.

We went out to get dinner and when we came back someone had taken our park so had to find park away from unit. Went to order breakfast and wasn't available. Very disappointing as was a reason we chose this motel. The spa was big disappointment to . A big reason we chose this motel . We drove from auckland and I have a bad hop so a soak after a long drive was highly anticipated. We could only stay 5 minutes In the spa room as the chlorine made our eyes water and hurt so much we couldnt stay. I got in and turned on bubbles and couldnt breathe due to chlorine fumes. Didnt even get changed it was so bad.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Units are spacious and comfortable - we had a one bedroom unit that had wall bed in the lounge which was great to free up room. Lots of family facilities like pool with a slide, spa pool (new !), games room with pool table, table tennis, playstation. To make laundry easier they even have a large clothes line out the back and smaller airing racks. Very handy to Taradale shops, New World and Anderson Park and 10 minute drive to Napier city.

Beds could have been a bit firmer but everybody has different tastes in beds. We still slept well.

I think everything. From rate to the environment and to the service was excellent. Very friendly and welcoming. Perfect for my family with small children as there were warm pool, hot pool, small park and playroom to keep kids entertained. Also very thoughtful for small things such as sun lotion at the pool area and swimming toys for kids to play with. The room was very tidy and clean every day and comfortable for the stay.

Parking, other people will come and park at our space at times which is not the motels fault but that was the only thing I did not like.

Everything.. From the staff, the cleanliness, the check in processes, our needs, demands.. They were all very helpful.. *kids loved the pool, play area, the whole place. *adults loved the spa, the garden was a delight, the play area was also a hit for the adults when it was raining.. and the laundry was even an extra to the motel service

Nothing much really. The wall bed was a bit too soft for me. But not too bad for a short stay.

The quietness of the studio, it was just what we wanted and with what we were doing it certainly met our needs, we attended a V3 Reunion and we didn't have to use our car to go from venue to motel so was an excellent place, didn't get to use the spa pool or check out the rest of the activities but they looked fantastic, especially the kids would love it!!!!!!

Nothing we could find to not like, it was great.

Mark was very welcoming and I certainly appreciated the upgrade. #15 was a very nice unit. It was very clean and well equiped. Love the 50 channels of SKY. Real milk!!!! Superb!!!!!! Lovely sheets and electric blanket. Thank you.

Bit chilly. Heat pump set at 22 but it did not seem that warm. I think the mattress could use a flip as the bathroom side of the bed was a bit sunken. ( if happens...not a worry)

Check in and Check out were straigh forward. Location was good, The room was lovely and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Had a lovely stay

We were under another room the people staying above were really noisy and a lot of jumping. Luckily that was only the 1 night. Id recommend you stay in a room without another on top. This was not the motel's fault of course.

The lodge had everything we needed for a long stay, we felt like we were at home. The bonus for us was that the curtains and blinds were blackouts. I can't praise this place enough:)

All was good. It's just a personal comment regarding the dark walls, which I didn't like.

When we arrived our room was not suitable as we had booked for two single beds and only one double bed. The night manager was so apologetic and straight away gave us an extra room for the night. The next day they still could not give us a room with two beds so they put us in two separate rooms side by side. Room 4 was quite noisey with road noise and the clock tower chiming.

Was a little disappointed that our email was confirmed regarding bedding and this was not taken into account at the motel. In saying that the night manager could not have been more accommodating. I also felt that the motel should be advertised as Taradale not Napier as we were wanting a motel that we could walk to Napier nightlife from but this was not the case.
