Location is great- cbd is within a few minutes of walk and we particular enjoy how close it is to the playground. All staff was super friendly, warm welcome and easy check out. Love the layout of the room and it is perfect for family. Room is super cosy and warm too. Would stay again.

It’s not the hotel’s fault but since it’s a wooden structure the soundproof is just not as good. We were next to a very loud room and could hear their late night talking until 11 o’clock everyday. What doesn’t help was our room is opposite to the stairs so we could hear every loud smashing of the door and unfortunately being a light sleeper I got woke up several times from opening and closing of the door.

Spacious room, comfy bed & couch, nice views of the gondola, separate toilet in the laundry room, heated towel rack & bathroom floor, the bathtub! We also stored our luggage at the lodge for a few days and the staff helped to place it in our room before check in.

No smart TV /chromecast, no full length mirror in the apartment, no aircon in the bedroom (although there is a standing fan in the closet & a radiator in the room). Bathtub had a screen that only covered half the tub so the floor got wet when we showered (a shower curtain would have been more ideal). Apartment was next to a street so we had to close the windows in the night as the traffic noise was too loud for us. All small issues, we would stay here again.

Excellent location within 5 minutes pleasant walk downhill to town or the Queenstown Garden. The room had a great view, and the staff went out of their way to provide umbrellas when needed. There are only 13-14 rooms, and though fully booked, it was very quiet. Garage parking is available for maybe 5-6 vehicles, but there is adjacent free street parking also. No need to pay to park in the city.

There is no longer access to cook in the common guest kitchen; but one can use the microwave or toaster there. Also staff is not present after hours.

Location was excellent and apartment was spacious. We took an unserviced apartment for four days but the staff that we saw were friendly and gave us extra milk for our tea. I was beyond pleased to have chosen this accommodation and it actually exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again. We loved the heated flooring in the bathroom too. Couldn't have been any closer to Queenstown harbour area, just an easy quick path down to the action if you wanted it or the serenity of Queens Park on your doorstep too.

Nothing to not like.

Fabulous location just a few minutes walk to the town Centre and to the beach. We had a top floor corner apartment which was spacious and tasteful, with views to the mountain, and the Queenstown gardens. The apartment was well appointed with a laundry and dryer as well as a second toilet. plenty of storage and great kitchen facilities. We were there for a week and because it was so comfortable, some days we just hung out and enjoyed the view of the paragliders and the cable cars on the mountain and didn’t feel the need to go out. The staff were great and very helpful and obliging topping up our supplies of coffee and tea and fresh towels when requested.

Just one small thing is they need to replace the fry pan as it was peeling the non stick layer and was unusable

We booked 4 nights at the Coronation Lodge, travelled to Mt. Cook for a couple of nights, and returned to Coronation Lodge for another night before travelling on. Both stays were excellent. First of all, you could not ask for a nicer or more helpful host. Here is something you will not get at big, posh hotels: We rented hiking boots for our trip to Mt. Cook. We were supposed to return those boots by 7 PM on a Friday. We raced to return the boots, got there at 6:35 PM and found the shop closed! Jasmine volunteered to return the boots the next day for us so that we could take the bus to the airport before the shop opened. Amazing! Our first stay was in a unit with king bed, balcony, and full kitchen. That room was a free upgrade from the unit we originally booked. Our second stay was in a smaller room with fridge and coffee/tea area. We had everything we needed. Both rooms were comfortable, sparkling clean, and so quiet. The king bed was too soft for my husband's bad back. I talked to Jasmine, and she added a firmer roll-away bed to our room at no extra cost. Problem solved. The hotel has a coin-operated washer and dryer for guests. Because of staffing, it does not currently offer breakfast, but the breakfast room with fridge, stove, dishwasher, and dinnerware is available for guests to use during hours when the desk is staffed. If you have to arrive late when the desk is closed, Jasmine will tell you where to find your key. The hotel is a short walk from the airport bus stop and minutes away from restaurants and shops. We walked to the gondola and to Kiwi Bird Park. (We recommend the bird park. Be sure to get a seat at one of their wildlife shows.) We also recommend The Cow restaurant if you like pasta and don't care for loud music. All in all, it was a wonderful stay. If we ever return to Queenstown, we will definitely choose the Coronation Lodge again.

Excellent location, comfortable bed & pillows bathroom lovely, provided good selection of amenities, reception staff very helpful

Difficult parking in area if don’t get space at the lodge, room (9) was very exposed to outside street (didn’t want to have to spend whole stay with the blinds down, if you have heavy luggage be ready for stairs (wasn’t aware of any lift), limited reception hrs, couldn’t find any advice regarding checking out when outside of reception hrs

The one bedroom apartment is one of the best accommodations we’ve used in Queenstown in many, many visits. It costs more than their standard hotel rooms but it’s well worth it for an extended visit. The apartment is huge, has full kitchen, laundry, two balconies, 2 toilets and aircon which is a must for hot summer days. Walking distance to everything and close to local buses for trips around the wider local area. If available, we would choose this apartment for our next visit.

Being so close to town there is some street noise but complementary earplugs are in the room so problem solved.

The hotel is well-placed, right near queenstown gardens and a short walk from the centre of town. The room was comfortable and the staff were incredibly helpful. The room was quite spacious and it felt like good value for money, being close to a city centre.

Our room got very hot during the day due to the sun shining directly on it. This wasn’t a big issue, as we were out most of the time and there was an air con unit, which helped cool things down at night.

Nice comfy room. Nice view from the balcony. The rooms faced a street but mine was pretty quiet. The location was great - just out of the main part of town (which I find very touristy) facing parkland. A short walk down Hotops Rise through the garden to get into town.

It was a bit cold at night and the aircon remote control was nowhere to be seen. On the second night I found it, unhelpfully placed in the drawer of the furthest-away bedside table. Wondered if they did it on purpose to save electricity. Tip: If the taxi drops you off outside the carpark in front of a flight of steps going up to reception, you can avoid carrying your luggage up the stairs by going up the street footpath and entering from street level right in front of reception.
