On arrival we were well informed by Lizz about the B&B and what to do in the area. Lizz was also available for a chat about life in New Zealand (of course also about items) The rooms were excellent (even better than expected based on the information we found on the internet) The breakfast (musly, cereals, fruit, fresh fruit juice, sandwiches) was excellent and sufficient. In the evening you could have a hot dinner upon request. The location was excellent for our trips to Rotorua and to Tongarino national parcs

Elegance, Peace, Serenity and Charm. What a delightful experience! Beautiful garden setting, elegant decor, spacious room, warm and friendly welcome, including a delicious surprise cheese platter (thank you!), lovely outlook into the garden and view of the lake from the room and a marvelous breakfast each morning. We both said "Wow" when we turned into the driveway the first time and felt spoiled throughout our stay. This was our "special treat" accommodation on this trip and we couldn't have been happier.

Location was very good and the property very well maintained. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and our accommodation was excellent. Attention to detail was evident.

Breakfast was good but limited choice. I would have preferred the option of a cooked breakfast albeit a simple one.

Pretty colonial style boutique b n b / hotel with great views over lake. Large comfortable rooms, well equipped. Unexpected cheese platter with biscuits provided as extra from hosts.

Quite a way from the main town, but that gives it a peaceful and quiet location

This lodge is really a spot of paradise. Liz and Steve were so welcoming and there were so many thoughtful touches. Our room was tastefully decorated and super clean, and breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended.

Amazing view over the lake, house and gardens beautifully maintained, lovely breakfast, some really nice touches in the room. Above all, exceptional hosts. Will definitely try to visit this place again

Hard to find fault but maybe the water pressure in the shower could be better. Otherwise 5 star all the way

All the little extra touches in the bathroom, toothbrushes, lint roller, sewing kit Bedroom so comfortable, warm and cosy, lounge area at our disposal , beautiful view and a balcony right outside our bedroom

Great location. Amazing breakfast. Friendly, warm and welcoming hosts. Loved the little touches that made the gorgeous home very hyggelig.

The bed was a little uncomfortable, but okay.

Suite 2 had an amazing lake and garden view; it was cosy, quiet, comfortable and private. The kitchenette although detached from room was just outside the door, fully equipped and private. The continental breakfast is plentiful & delicious served in a gorgeous dining room overlooking the garden & lake. This beautiful boutique lodge is a credit to Liz & Steve who are superb hosts.

Beautiful location overlooking Lake Taupo. Lovely comfortable room with great facilities. Liz and Steve went out of their way to make sure we had all we needed. An excellent breakfast in a lovely dining room. Very friendly hosts.

I can’t think of anything we didn’t like. Definitely stay here again when next visiting Taupo.
