Maayo Hotel

The rooms were big. The restaurants were really nice. The staff were super friendly. The rooftop pool and views were amazing. Room service was quick. It was a very nice experience overall. I would recommend this place. There is a nice mall and restaurants within walking distance. Even a 7-11 outside the garage area. Taxis are available.

Nothing not to like. Just be careful using taxis. They will overcharge every chance they get. Stick with metered taxis. Saw a few roaches in the rooms but not bad considering...

Very clean inside and out! Staff were incredibly helpful, easy check in and check out. The location in Cebu City is good, however for us it wasn’t the feel we were looking for so we checked out a little earlier than planned to move onto another island in the Philippines. Shower was hot with decent pressure.

We had booked the room for 3 people but on arrival we had a room prepared with only two beds. We phoned down to reception and this was quickly resolved and a 3rd bed was put in the room. However, we booked for 3 people and checked in as 3 so it would have been ideal if the bed was in the room before check in. We then had to ask for extra towels etc too.

Maayo Hotel was recommended by a friend I was going to have a meeting with. First, I was a bit skeptical about the hotel. Wow, was I mistaken! I like the location, (near S&R and other attractions), the staff, the room size was just right. And of course, the bed was comfy.. if only I had time to stay in Cebu and not have to be up and out to continue with my business, I would have stayed in the room a bit more.. but surely, I will book my stay at Maayo Hotel the next time I go to Cebu.

I can't seem to recall anything I disliked at Maayo Hotel. I didn't have breakfast so I have no comment regarding that. But I did have dinner with friends at the resto at the top floor. The food was fine, except the pochero I ordered. It was not to my expectation and taste.. but nonetheless, we enjoyed dinner. Perhaps, next time, I will pay more attention to details to make my comments more qualified.

The hotel exceeded my expectations and felt luxurious for the affordable price. The staff were very friendly, the food in the main restaurant for dinner was nice. The rooftop pool is a great added bonus and they had towels available to use. So convenient for the airport. It's literally a 10 min taxi. The room was huge and the shower was excellent

The breakfast buffet wasn't for us. Had a range of options but not the biggest fan of a traditional Filipino breakfast and the bread options were a bit dry.

Mostly the entire 2 nights we spent here at Maayo Cebu were just fabulous! We had a deluxe room, we went to Spa and we've eaten to Ani. Rona!? and he entire staff from the warm welcome to the checkout were awesome! We came for a birthday and they even managed so well to decorate the room and place a candle on the dessert at Ani restaurant! Thanks again! The room A/C was top, quiet enough to sleep with it ON. The room was clean and big and comfy as expected! The breakfast was tasty and had a great choice! We will come back!

Small improvement points: - shower head was broken but they managed to repair within hours. - some tiles at the pool are broken... as the ground is at some location "dangerous" so generally the pool area could be improved - we can hear the A/C?! building system from the room in the background...

LOVE THEIR FOOD OPTIONS AND LOVE THE VIEW AT THE DECK. RECEPTION AT 7TH FLOOR LOOKS AMAZING. YOU CAN LITERALLY GO IN AND JUST RELAX. HOTEL IS ADJACENT TO THE HOSPITAL BUT YOU CANNOT HEAR ANY SIRENS. NOT TOO FAR NOR TOO CLOSE TO THE CITY, BUT VERY NEAR THE AIRPORT.

BREAKFAST WAS GREAT, BUT SERVING TIME COULD BE MOVE A LITTLE EARLIER. THEY SERVE AT 7:00AM WHICH COULD BE A BIT LATE FOR THOSE WHO ARE ON A TIGHT SCHEDULE. MIGHT BE GREAT TO CALL A CAB FIRST WHEN GOING SOMEWHERE AS IT MIGHT TAKE A BIT OF TIME TO GET ONE

We stayed in the family suite - which was large and had plenty to space for the three of us. We also had a great view of the city. The room was clean and the a/c worked well. The furnishings were modern and overall excellent even by Western standards. Terrific breakfast bar. Pool deck was nice and had a skyline view. WiFi was good.

Only very minor complaint that the shower water could have been hotter, but honestly our stay was otherwise great.

The Maayo is an of favourite of mine, mainly for it's location to the Airport (15mins by Taxi) the room was clean, the staff were fantastic and the food was great. Even though there are a couple of minus points below I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

The TV reception was awful, pretty much broken, I remember this pre Covid, to the Maayo change your TV provider they are garbage and if memory serves correctly always have been. My room door did not always close correctly when I left the room (1222) It seems the excellent buffet Breakfast isn't the Breakfast that all rooms with Breakfast receive any more, can't think why that is, please change that policy I was looking forward to my buffet breakfast and I got told on check in this wasn't the case, luckily the receptionist took pity and upgraded my Breakfast - Maayo this would be a deal breaker I want Buffet breakfast when I sat there :)

The rooms were very comfortable the staff was very nice the food was delicious.

There is nothing that I did not like I can only think of maybe I cannot turn the air conditioning down a little when you turn it on it's like full blast so I would like to have controlled it just to put it on medium or low other than that I have nothing negative to say about this hotel.

We really liked the place and would definitely come back.It was easy to book with them and even assisted me on cancelling my double booking,special thanks to Ms. Arne in the reception ,she was a real darling to us.Overall the place was really clean,beautiful and comfortable,all the staffs are kind and professionally trained.Uma and Ani resto had served us very nice food.Highly recommended whoever wants to have a relaxing stay in the city❤️Thank you Maayo Hotel for making our stay worthwhile🌹
