Mike's Dauin Dive Resort

The food was very good with many choices. Filipino breakfast with fresh fruits such as papaya and mango plus fish rice and eggs was delicious. Staff and dive crew were polite, motivated and experienced. Diving was excellent. Lots of choice if your interest is muck diving. Lots of separate dive sites with many different species. Never saw so many mantis shrimp on one site as here. The room house we stayed was comfortable and spacious.

It would be great if instead of just filter coffee espressos and cappuccinos would be available. There are several efforts at reef conservation which need to be continued. Natural reef is not in great shape.

Chester and his team were simply amazing! He was very responsive and assisted a lot with our stay, they were extremely accommodating and always checked on everyone’s needs. The resort is very well organised, very clean and comfortable. The restaurant was also great, the dishes were really good, they have an amazing chef. The breakfast was also nice and good portion. The dive shop is well equipped, the boat is spacious and comfortable, Ace is a really great and knowledgeable dive master. We enjoyed our dive trips a lot, it was one of our bests. I was celebrating my birthday in Mike’s and they were super kind and set up a beautiful spot for our dinner to make my day memorable, they also prepared an amazing cake which was very very kind. It was an amazing dinner and celebration.

Great small resort with fantastic staff in a great peaceful relaxing location. They offer very professionally run trips to Apo island for snorkelling and diving. Food in the restaurant is great and cocktails around the pool are perfect. There is a really relaxed vibe here, everyone is friendly and feels like home. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone.

Beds were quite hard. Also only a sheet provided no blanket. Would be nice to have a light blanket for those that are used to it. Other than that all was excellent.

The people make the place! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Manager Chester was not only helping me out during my stay but also with onward plans. Enjoyed diving with them as well. Apo Island trips are a must do. Altogether it is great value for money.

Room I was in the first night had a sewage smell. I think that was no news to them. They gave me another room straight away the next day. So it was solved nicely.

It is a very nice place. Staff work up to their ability. It has a nice pool surrounded by trees so you will have shadow at most of the day. The food is excellent and reasonable priced. Try the Kinnilaw!

The water pressure is very low. It should be re-enforced by a pump, but such things goes beyond the staffs ability and Mike is absent for months. The pool needs better maintainance, clear the filters from leaves and falling seeds. It is downgrading from the past due to the lack of supervision and training.

Beautiful hotel. The restaurant is really good, serves everything that is on the menu. Swimming pool is good. The hotel accepts card payments.

The road to get to the hotel is a dirtroad so gets quickly muddy and with water ponds when it rains. Bathroom furnitures and equipments looked a bit old or overused. Wifi was difficult to reach from our building (the new one)

Amazing location, beautiful beachfront views each morning and for diving. Great staff. Supper attentive. Chester has a great team. AMAZING food in the restaurant and the Mango and other fruit shakes are exceptional. 2 a day was holding back. The diving was EXCEPTIONAL and the dive resort staff we great as were the instructors.

We absolutely loved our stay at Mike’s. The room was great, the resort is beautiful and very well maintained, the food is good and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The resort and the swimmingpool are right next to the beach. It’s a great base for snorkling, diving and doing daytrips like going to Apo Island. Would definitely recommend!

I had very pleasant 5 nights at Mike's! A perfect resort for diving and relaxing. Diving was really fun and well guided. The boat is nice and big. Our Apo Island trip was great. The beach is directly accesible, there's a pool area and a restaurant with delicious food. Staff is great, too! Other restaurants and stores in Dauin are 10 min by foot.

The staff were very warm and welcoming! It makes a BIG difference. I planned the Dumaguete trip last minute, and stayed just 1 night at Mike's. But they were very helpful in helping me arrange the rest of my trip -- from booking motorcycle rentals, to transfers, etc. I appreciate so much the help! The room was big and comfortable and clean!
