Privato Makati - Multiple Use Hotel

The security personnel when we arrived was truly courteous. Same with the receptionist who assisted us in paying and in checking us in. The room was very spacious and had turned cold immediately after turning on the air-conditioning unit. Bed is also comfortable. The bathroom is also well-equipped with toiletries and fragrant body gel, and with shower that you can adjust the temperature. Internet is superb as well!

Firstly, the entire room is powered by inserting our keycard near the door. When we leave, we have to have our keycard with us, turning off all the appliances inside including the aircon, refrigerator, TV and the ventilation system in the bathroom. With this being said, we come back to a hot room, with a bathroom smelling like cigarettes. The TV also could not access a lot of channels and is not a Smart TV. And it would be great to leave extra pillows for extra comfort.

I’ve known Privato Makati for years and I must say it’s pretty well maintained. Everything is clean, valued for money and the staffs are very helpful.

Thin walls, it doesn’t have soundproof. You can clearly hear kids playing in the hallway, upstairs and noises outside in the street. The location doesn’t have anything nearby, no restaurant, cafe nor convenient store.

We like it that even if we had a very late night check in, they still allow it. Since we arrive late for our check in, they let us have a late checkout too w/o extra fee. Receptionist were very accomodating and good. Kudos to you guys! The location is not bad at all but you still need to ride Grab car service to get you to nearby restaurants/malls/shops.

We didn't like that there is only " 1 pillow" allotted for me and my friend. When we asked for extra pillow, they said they have no extra which is quite disappointing. Coz 2 pillows would be enough but 1 pillow makes us to sleep uncomfortably.

The thing I love the most about this hotel are their staff. Front desk, security guard, maintenance, they're very warm and accommodating. The room had everything I needed, an electric kettle for my coffee, slippers, good wifi, a table, a closet, a safe and most of all a water dispenser outside my room so I can refill my bottle. The rooftop was also a good place to accommodate guests. I recommended this hotel to my friend who paid a lot for a different hotel with a smaller room and barely had anything in it. There's a mini gym and a pool, overall a good place to unwind without paying too much. Will definitely come back here.

The first room given to me unfortunately had hair all over the floor. I hate to bother the staff but I had to. They were very quick to respond to this, brought me a new key for a new room. I appreciate them for all their efforts. Really I would come back here again because of the staff. They remember you and your room number.

The hotel's staff : From the housekeeping, security guards and to the reception. They're all friendly, responsive and accommodating, their service is worth of a 4 star hotel. The building structure : It''s well-thought-out. Not cheaply installing things like in other small hotels around. The bed : We got the king size bed and it's comfortable. The room : It's spacious enough for our stuffs and it's easy to move around. Moreover, there's a big window that we can open to ventilate the room and having a natural sunlight beaming, therefore saving on electricity. The curtain system is also simple, practical and perfect. There's also a lot of full sized mirrors. The cleanliness : We feel comfortable knowing that one of the priorities of the hotel is cleanliness. They clean all parts of the hotel everyday. The elevator : We are surprised of the effeciency of their 2 elevators, we never got stuck and way better than other hotels (even better than other 4-5 stars hotels). The bonus service : Umbrella! The security guards are always ready with their umbrellas to protect the clients from sunburn or from rain, it's an extra bonus gesture that makes my husband and I smile.

The shower : Perfect rain shower installation but the drawback is the water heater system. No centralized heating pump to have an effecient and normal cold and hot water to your convenience. There's only a small water heater that gives barely above lukewarm shower, it's not effecient, it spends a lot of electricity for nothing, not ecological friendly and not pleasant for the clients.

We liked especially how calm the place is, inside and outside, and it is beside some major grocery store. And, it is very exceptional service for us that there is available drinking water anytime. The gym and pool are okay as well, it is in the rooftop so there is good view and windows can be opened for fresh air when in gym. We also found good selection of sport channels in the cable TV. Wi-fi connection is very good as well. Staff are very welcoming and accommodating, even to our guests.

Not exactly we did not like. just more on improvement if possible. Aside from not much view in the balcony, we are unable to stay because of the water drops from aircon from above rooms. It would be good also of there would be complimentary tea aside from coffee. And, we hope there would be offer of food selection, especially for breakfast.

Everything has been well thought in the room. Spacious enough and well equipped as....fridge, water boiling machine, hairdryer, coffee, TV, good AC, good shower with a CURTAIN, big +. Water pressure is good enough with hot water for the lavabo, another big + here. I hope that many more hotels-- in Philippines---will take in consideration to have a shower that is not in opened space in the bathroom. Bedding and pillows are very good. As a word traveler for many years, this is a model that should be imitated worldwide. Staff were also very polite and helpful.

The only drawbacks are: the hairdryer outside the bathroom and the street is quite noisy. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Value for money; Beds were comfortable. Location was good as it was near our NY celeb venue but if you are a tourist wanting to be near the commercial areas, the location would not be walking distance to the malls. High ceiling as our room was on the 8th floor. Aircon worked well. Toilet had a bidet. Sustainable provisions for drinking water and shampoo/ body gel. Sufficient number of electric outlets.

Our window looked directly out to a wall and you would need to shift your angle to be able to see the city view. I had priorly made a specific request of an unobstructed view given I get claustrophobic. When I asked if I could change my room to a different type (which was even a lower and cheaper room classification than what I originally reserved), the hotel said it was not allowed. Having said that, the high ceiling and white walls compensated for the window so I did not get as claustro as I usually do. Room clean-ups are upon request which I generally don't mind but when I requested for minimal tidying, only the food containers and trash were removed. Had to ask a second time for the coffee cups and they also did not replenish the coffee provisions in the room.

Booked 3 rooms and had a 3-day stay at the Privato hotel Makati with my family. It was a great deal. Though the hotel per se isn't a huge one, their rooms' spaces are enough for the amount we paid, plus they were all clean and cozy too. Location is not bad for someone who just want to roam around Makati area. There are as well mini stores just outside the building. Staff are friendly and polite. In fact, their security guards were so accomodating to the point that they'll not only open the door for you, they'll as well fetch you with an umbrella from/to the car and the main entrance.

Anyhow, I gave a 4-star rating for only 1star off with our experience. We asked for the utensils and mugs to be changed daily yet they refused and told us to wash it ourselves. Then, we didn't anymore request for the soap/shampoo to be refilled, changing of towels and linens after that; we're concerned about the idea that they might again decline.
