Moro's Friends House - Cascais0

Breakfast was very good and got us off to a good start for our day. Lincoln and his wife were terrific hosts and helped us out with a number of little challenges as we settled in to our first few days in Portugal having flown from Canada. We would come again!

When we arrived we didn't have a phone that was working and we found Moro house very difficult on google to locate as we drove around for over an hour doing our best to get to our location. We ended up asking the police who had GPS and they drove us (police escort) to our place. Our recommendation is to provide guests with very clear directions on how to find the address. Street names are either very hard to read or non-existant. It would be helpful to have landmarks in the town of Cascais that would direct them from the N6 to the N9-1 (we took the N6 along the coast as we didn't want to get on the main highway - A5- as we were adjusting to our rental car and had travelled over night from Canada after a 3 hour flight delay in Toronto).

I stayed for one week with Lincoln and his wife in their house and I felt really like a friend from the first day. They were open for every question I had and helped me with everything what came up during my stay. The breakfast was really nice and the rooms are clean and comfortable. There are also bikes for rent, which I used regularly to go to the guincho beach, which is close to the house. If I will be back in this area, I will definitely come back to Lincoln, there is nothing I could complain about. Thanks again for the great stay.

The breakfast was great and Lincoln was a fabulous host.

The room we were in did not have AC (an oversight on my part), so needed to keep the window open at night. However, the house is on a busy road near an intersection, so there was considerable traffic noise during the day and night. Additionally the doors were very noisy to operate so it was difficult to quietly move from one room to another at night without disturbing other guests.

The owner Lincoln was an absolutely wonderful friendly host , saw to all our needs and helpful with advice on places and restaurants nearby to visit . The breakfast was great with a selection of fresh fruit , ham and cheese ,an assortment of bread ,croissants and rolls , freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee and off course the hosts divine creative cakes that he baked himself everyday .

The house is situated on a busy road , but that did not bother us as allot as the sound was blocked off once inside the house . Nothing negative to say .

The facility was very clean including the shared bathroom and kitchen. Bed was very comfortable with nice firm mattress. A common fridge with a separate bin to store own food was provided. Generous breakfast provided with coffee, orange juice, fruit, cheese, ham, croissants, bread and jams. Very good communication prior to arrival. Private parking on site. English speaking hosts very friendly.

Very clean, very comfortable bed, Lincoln is an excellent host and made me feel at home. The use of the kitchen is nice, and the breakfast was lovely. I slept very well.

The property is located on a fairly busy intersection but once you are inside the house, there is no noise from the road. I needed to be in this part of town but if I go back to Cascais I would probably stay nearer the town centre. The doors make a lot of noise, so I heard other guests moving about in the night: it might be good to take some earplugs.

It feels like we have left Cascais with a new friend. Our holiday really started when we were picked-up by Lincoln from the airport and he gave us so much info about the area! Lincoln and his wife are extremely kind and welcoming. Accomodation was spotless and amazing breakfast. Thank you for everything Lincoln!

It’s clean and so cozy that you don’t want to leave it. Feel like home, not hotel!

If your traveling without car the location is not so good for hiking or biking. It’s not a problem but there is no enough space on pedestrian sides.

Kind welcoming hosts. Best bed I've slept in during my 2 week trip around Portugal. (Usually stay in similarly priced places). An easy 7-10 minute uber/bolt to the marina/beach.

Really nice house, very clean, large room with storage space. Breakfast was great! The owners were really friendly and helped us a lot. I even had a problem with car my and the owner offered advice. It felt like staying with family members!

Nothing
