M'Ar De Ar Aqueduto

It’s the second time we stayed there. The hotel is in an old palace and has a lot of character. It was clean, quiet, super well located, close to everything, easy to walk everywhere but also right at the Porta Velha (old city gate) which made it easy to get in and out by car. Breakfast was outstanding and the staff at hotel and the attached restaurant, Degust’ar, couldn’t have been more professional and friendly. We also enjoyed the indoor pool and spa.

If there is one thing, it was the gym, which was too small and dark. Some machines need repair

Location just on the edge of Évora with its own parking garage, so none of the hassle of driving narrow one-way streets. Still central enough for most sights including NYE fireworks! Elegant but understated, helpful staff. So much to see in the area and this was an excellent base to continue exploring.

Restaurant OK but better local options (lured by Michelin poster but I’m not sure it is current)

The property had beautiful finishes inside the room and throughout the property. The pool, the restaurant including the morning’s delicious buffet and the evening’s meal was memorable, the room was equipped with nice towels and beauty supplies, and the bed was comfortable.

The bathroom’s outer facing wall was mostly glass and only had a shear curtain. The toilet was right next to the glass window. The building right nextdoor was quite close had a window positioned at the same height. It required us keeping our light off. This would be enough to keep us from returning. I hope it will be addressed because everything else is quite nice.

The room was nice. The hotel is very clean. The dinner at the hotel was fabulous and so was the service! The location and ease of walking in Evora was great.

The front desk staff were somewhat rude and perhaps the young lady should be able to get help when there are multiple guests needing help. She was totally on her own with 5-6 guests and it made for a long wait time. She also said she'd call a taxi but then started helping someone else so we had to wait extra long and then also ask again. Breakfast could be better- runny scrambled eggs -- but it's the usual buffet you see in hotels.

Loved the location within the city walla. Super easy underground carpark. Breakfast was good quality with lots of choices, there was a .nice ambience inside quiet and relaxing and very nice staff. Nice decor snd outdoor gardens

The hotel was centrally controlled aircon..making no adjustment foe your individual room requirements. Few areas we noticed could have done with maintenance work..perhaps it should be done in the winter months. Issued with lumpy pillows took 2 attempts before the hotel responded.

This hotel it’s a good surprise. The decoration and the space it's ok, it’s not breathtaking but it's a cool place to be. Very comfortable and with a lot of things to do even in the winter: like the inside pool. The breakfast has a lot of options and it’s consistent. we already have been there in the past in a different room, and I recommend the upgrade, totally worth it.

The bar was not the best surprise. The food was mediocre at best with frozen French potatoes, the burger was mediocre without an exciting flavor. It was ok but expensive for the quality expected.

This hotel is amazing - a very luxurious stay in the beautiful town of Evora. The rooms are very modern, spacious, and clean, with a large bathtub and robes. The garden area just outside the room was very peaceful and relaxing, with a view of the Roman aquaduct. I couldn't believe that the spa was free for guests to use - I had the entire pool and sauna area to myself, and it was great! The staff were very kind, and the breakfast was amazing - they had everything. My 12- and 9-year-old kids still talk about it! Plenty of meats, cheeses, fruits, yogurts, breads, sweets, grains - and many of the items were sourced locally. It was only a 5-10 minute walk to the heart of Evora - but there are also a few restaurants and shops nearby. I hope we get to return one day!

The facilities and location and the sophistication of the property was unbeatable.

Literally the ONLY REASON I booked this property as opposed to any other property in Evora, is cause we drove to Evora and this was the only one that advertised free parking on the property. Yet when we reached the hotel, all the parking was full and there was no parking in the hotel parking or even on the street. And we were directed to figure out our own parking in the parking lot in town and have to figure out dragging our luggage across the parking lot to the hotel. Highly unsatisfactory. But apart from that the stay was enjoyable.

The hotel is well located for visits to the town and its surroundings. Excellent breakfast and restaurant food also very good.

The parking is good but the entrance is situated just before the hotel on a one way street. This means if you miss it the parking becomes difficult as you have to make a complete tour to come back to the entrance. It would help if the hotel would indicate this on their site somehow.
