Gorgeous hotel with amazing views of Funchal.Room and view were excellent. Beds comfortable and modern bathroom. Lobby, bar, dining areas all nicely decorated and modern. Great hotel for a couple Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice hot and cold as well as an omelette station for fresh eggs

Room was clean when we arrived but on closer inspection it was a little dusty in some areas (skirting, under bed) Guests have to pay to go in spa area (indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna) unless you book one of the more expensive rooms. Hotel facilities should be open to all paying guests. No bathrobes in standard or classic rooms

Beautiful big hotel, has a bar and live music every night. Breakfast was great, many options to choose from. Great fresh fruit and breads/pastries! The location is great, and the free parking was super helpful that we rented a car. Patricia the receptionist was amazing! She was friendly, helpful and was so great to work with. She sent us a beautiful gift for our anniversary! Beautiful rooms, big bathrooms, nice view from the bathroom :)

We only got a side view from our balcony of the mountains. Lady at the bar was very rude (toast was not good) Other than that, loved it!!

Usually book smaller hotels but stayed here for the location and views and they didn’t disappoint. had a large room on the 8th floor on a corner with floor to ceiling windows and views to the mountains and the sea and a small balcony. Complementary plate of fresh fruit and bottled water and bath robe and slippers. Small fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Nice breakfast with plenty of choice including Prosecco! Free parking on site. would definitely stay again.

Beware bit of a hilly walk home but taxis plentiful in the town.

The view was stunning, breakfast had a fantastic selection. The spa was really lovely, especially the Turkish hammam

The dinner options in the restaurant were so limited for a vegan diet! So more variation would have been great, that would be the only thing I could say.

It was an amazing stay - very friendly staff, I had a little dental emergency and they got me an appointment right away. Big buffet for breakfast, good quality. Nice cocktails in the bar, there was also always entertainment in the evening which was nice. Clean, room was nice and big. Easy parking, good location, close to the center (but a bit uphill on the way back)

Maybe the rules for the spa (sauna) could be written somewhere very clearly, almost no one showered before going to the pool/jacuzzi... Also the no phones rule and silence should be enforced more strictly, occasionally it was very loud and people taking photos/videos.

The pool was absolutely amazing. The staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful. The pool was really nice, with great views, and really clean. The pool bar food and drinks were really nice and cheap enough considering its in a hotel. They also have a happy hour which makes them very cheap! The breakfast was the best we’ve had at any hotel anywhere. The selection is absolutely huge and everything really tasty. There was even complimentary champagne. Hotel was very clean and modern. The evening indoor bar has a great selection of drinks and does live music which was really nice. The views of course are amazing. Even our standard room came with a balcony! It’s been one of our favorite stays ever. If anyone was coming to Funchal I would reccomend this hotel.

If I could give any advice to improve it would be to update the rooms showers (they’re fine just not the most modern), and to give shampoo and conditioner instead of just the standard shampoo/body wash (although more expensive rooms may come with this, we just had a standard). You also have to pay extra to use the indoor pool and gym, which we didn’t know before coming, so be aware of that. If you’re coming with older/ less physically able people also be aware it’s on top of a hill so walking around is a bit tough but all of Funchal is hilly which the hotel can’t help.

Deluxe rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was an excellent spread, even scrambled eggs were great and unlike the rubbery eggs you typically get at breakfast buffets. Pool and view is true to pictures. Having free access to spa was a bonus and very much appreciated after a long hike.

It was slightly out of the way from central Funchal but definitely walkable if you didn't mind hills. We were often too tired after day hiking so drive into town instead. If you have a car this is a good location as it's close to highways. I prefer this location to the big hotels on the 'Hotel strip' where it felt very touristy.

As soon as we walked in, we were absolutely wowed! This hotel is definitely 5*. The reception, bar, restaurant, pools & spa were all just totally amazing 🤩. Having that spa to come back to after a full day’s hiking was perfect. The variety of treatments and the amount of different options in the actual spa was great, from a four seasons shower to the ice bucket shower and then the best Turkish baths I’ve been in! The hotel is a short walk from the centre of Funchal which is handy and all tour operators were happy to collect us from the door. The room wasn’t quite as modern and plush as the rest of the hotel but it was very clean, spacious and totally comfy. As for the food, just yum! Great variety for breakfast and dinner. So much seafood! 🍤 Happy Hour in the Woogie Boogie bar was great - we sampled all of the cocktails and wowza!!! The entertainment each night was fantastic and the view of the city is the finishing touch. The staff are second to none; so helpful and very friendly! The only recommendations I have (and this is only because I like to be totally honest) are: • All food must be labelled in the restaurant (everything tastes so good but I wanted to know what everything was). • There was a slight smell from the sink drain in our room. • Wine & water that were left in the room for us should’ve been labelled with a price as we thought they were a welcome gift. Thank you for a wonderful stay and for our upgraded room. We will definitely be back to The Views 🫶🏻

The views are amazing. Nice lobby and pool as well as restaurant.

Our room was relatively noisy, the street sounds were too clearly audible. The balcony door was not well sealed. Also, we weren’t informed that reservations for the breakfast (and dinner) are possible and it turned out that all nice spots with a view were reserved for extra money with individual service though there’s a buffet. This made us feel treated like 2nd class customers without being even informed, which is not nice at this rate. We wanted to order room service food at 9pm (it is until 9) because we went for the sunset which is at 8:30, but we were denied after 8:45, as the kitchen closes earlier. So, the flexibility for customers was limited. Also, the indoor pool and spa area isn’t included in the price if you stay less than 5 nights.
