Everything about this accommodation was magnificent 👌 We were so comfortable, relaxed, and at home here. Three identical double bedrooms with individual ensuites were a bonus. The kitchen and living area was a unique design and very original. Doors out to patio and shared pool, which we enjoyed pretty much every late afternoon. Fernando is the most excellent host. We did not need an itinerary as he helped us with all our trips out. Breakfast was lovely. So was the wine made on the Quinta. The local area is beautiful, stunning churches (Bom Jesus), both Braga and Guimeres on the doorstep, and a short drive to the national park, which was breathtaking.. We will return...😍

It was difficult to pick anything we didn't like..

Fernando was the best host. Anywhere I wanted to go I would ask him how the roads are etc and he would bring me a map and explain everything. I rented a car so I didn't use his services. The room was clean and comfortable, hot hotel, TV, internet. Breakfast was great with fresh buns,ham, cheese, yogurt, cereal, coffee, tea, croissants. The grounds are beautiful and the pool and the view and the drive there is stunning.

1 thing maybe a small heater in the room at breakfast time. was there in March so little cold to sit and eat.

Our family/group stayed in the amazing villa and in one of the rooms of the main lodging, and both places were flawless. Everything was very clean, the villa was so spacious and well-appointed, and we loved that the owner, Fernando, had designed it himself. The views were amazing, the pool was clean and had lots of places to sit, we loved the privacy we had staying as a group in the villa, and the breakfasts prepared each day by Fernando were plentiful and delicious! His wife made four wonderful jams for the breakfast spread, the coffee was prepared for us each morning, and the table was set for us when we were ready to eat. Amazing! Everything one wants/needs is here! But what made our visit extra special was the host/owner, Fernando. He was so kind, caring, and always available if we needed anything. We had an unexpected and unfortunate medical emergency with one of our group, and Fernando stepped in and assisted us and helped with translating and in calling an ambulance. We honestly are grateful to Fernando beyond words. We all want to come back and spend more time at Quinta Pedras de Baixa in the future (and we hope to be there when Fernando and his band play music!).

Nothing. All of it was way beyond our expectations!

We stayed with Fernando for 6 nights. He was a star, helping us feel comfortable, telling us where to go and what to do, recommending the very reasonable local restaurant for evening meals and just being very friendly. A small jar of jam for my Dad who loves marmalade, a chance to do a load of laundry, and the use of the villa in the day were all examples of how Fernando looks after his guests. We will return to this lovely place 😀

There was nothing not to like! Sr. Fernando is the most polite and welcoming host, never intrusive. He told us and showed us the labour of love, the Quinta, which has been in the family for centuries and he has been restoring for a decade. You feel the passage of time and its rituals, in the best way possible. We loved how quiet it was, exactly what we were looking for, and visited the restaurant a five/ten minute walk away with home-made food at the most inexpensive price ever. We were looking for a tranquil place to go once in a while to decompress and I am now sure we have found it. Sr. Fernando will be seeing us again. The facility is lovely and the setting is too. Fernando the owner has done a very good job of turning a multi generational Quinta into a very interesting and comfortable vacation option. We would definitely return again. It's location is convenient to Braga as well as Guimaraes which is a very beautiful and historic location.

Not really any negatives.

Excellent rural location, fresh fruit growing in owners garden to pick and eat. Local restaurant about 400m away was fantastic. Host was a gentleman and very friendly.

Local church had a festival with loud modern music blearing out on the speakers. Make sure you do not go in festival time. Firework display at 0130hrs.

The owner absolutely defined the warm hospitality of Northern Portugal. Fernando and his wife was a great host. They ensured that we were taken cared of from start of our stay until the end. The property itself is well suited as a base to visit the beautiful towns of Braga, Guiemares and Amarante. Perfect 10 on our book!

Quinta Pedras De Baixo the Best vacation that we had, Fernando is an amaizing person, he helpd us with anyhing we needed Fernando reccomeded us on places to visit all of them were amaizing, the house is beatiful ,clean and cozy, we felt at home, our dog was super welcom also, the breakfast was great, the location is super great close to all the turism places and to the cities. we had a great time and we will deffinatly will come back

Fernando is a nice guy, very friendly but also very prophesional, the farm is a little bit of paradise.,great pool with a lovely view over the valley and a nice breakfast, highly recommend
