Four Points by Sheraton Sesimbra

It may be called Four Points, but our stay was Five Star! My wife, Margery, and I had a delightful time relaxing by the pool and reading the latest John Grisham novellas. The breakfast buffet cured us of our sins from nights past, and the staff were as kind as the Nile is long.

The lunch and dinner options at the on-site restaurant were a not great. But having said that, the free shuttle service they offer enables you to head down to the town and eat delicious clams instead. My wife, Melinda, enjoys clams.

The room and the view from it were very good. Food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. The free parking was a bonus

Stayed for a week in June. Had a room with a balcony over looking pool. Room was big and roomy, beautifully decorated. Staff were helpful and nice. Breakfast is amazing, lots of options. The hotel is aesthetically pleasing really Instagram-worthy. It's all very clean Perfect for Family or couples. Free taxi service to and from the town is great. I heard they are getting a spa there soon, ill definitely be returning when this opens.

nitpicking here. the bathroom was tiny. the door opens one inch from the toilet, not ideal for 2 people my partner and I were taking turns using the bathroom. The music around the pool is annoying it is literally on all day and night I'm not joking. The times for cleaning the room were never a set time, one day it would be at 11 am and the next it would be around 3 or something, it was annoying coming back to the room from a day out to be met by the cleaners cleaning our room or about to clean it.

I have to mention all the staff firstly, everyone was exceptional. Always smiling, always courteous, always helpful in all they did. The whole place was spotless. The breakfast each day was very tasty, it was a buffet and catered for everyone. The beds were so comfy. Room was cleaned every day with the mini bar stocked daily also (which was free btw). The pool area was spotless, the staff giving out the towels were so friendly. Never had a problem getting a sunbed on any day, it has 3 levels of beds all tiered up the steps.

We ate 3 nights in the restaurant. On all 3 occasions there was at least 1 starter and 3 mains not available. Also, the drinks from the bar was very limited.

very good breakfast with vegan options nd nice differents fruit! everyone was very helpful, the shuttle to and from the hotel to the praia was amazing. The gym nicely equiped with towels as well. Special mentioning that the bed was very nice . I think the hotel with the nicest bed so far we stayed .

the pool wasnt heated: if it was we would have stayed longer. However we got informed before that it was heated, but at the info desk at arrival we understood it wasn't heated. The pool was clean and beautiful. Maybe in the hot summer we would come back for more days

The shuffle bus service to the town is not a good system. We would whatsapp and not receieve a response or get a response but then arrive at reception to find a queue of people also waiting for a lift at the same time. There was no queue in place once at reception and it was frustrating when we had plans in the town. The reception team were unhelpful about this issue and when we had a few other questions such as option for late check out, showers for when we had checked out, they were dismissive. There is often a lot of staff at reception (4-6) but they are quite lazy when they could be much more helpful with the shuttle service etc.

The hotel is not close to the beach but the free shuttle is excellent, the staff is the key for the hotel success, all extremely helpful and friendly! The hotel main building and swimming pool as the central facilities are great. Breakfast excellent too.

I did not like to pay extra to have the expected conditions at the start. The hotel shall include photos of the room view to be fair with customers. No one chooses to go on holidays select a room with balcony to get view to the parking…or a passage where you cannot have curtains open…. Remove the signs SPA or build one :-)

Great location with amazing views. Rooms were clean and comfy. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had!

Shuttle service is awful. They give you a number to call to reserve but they NEVER picked up for us. We had to call the hotel reception directly to set it up and most of the time it was already booked up. The hills getting back up to the hotel from town are BRUTAL. This is coming from someone in good shape. This makes the shuttle an attractive option but was worthless for us. House keeping took our key card 3 days in a row - frustrating.

Stunning design, all very new, views up to the castle & down to the sea. The pool area is tremendous, lots of double & single beds, and a huge circular pool. The two bedroom suites are fantastic, with two balconies over looking the pool, nice lounge, free mini bar with soft drinks, two bedrooms, and one bathroom. Great value compared to booking two double bedrooms. The restaurant offers a good value grill menu, and the breakfast is very good, super selection of hot & cold dishes, plus a omelette station.

You have to be aware you are quite a bit away from the beach & town centre, up a steep hill. However the hotel offers a free shuttle service, and taxis are 5/6 euros.

Brilliant hotel! We had a “mini apartment” with two bedrooms and a living area+balcony, which was perfect as we were travelling with grandparents and kids. The rooms were fantastic and had little details that really added to the stay (e.g. the teepee tent bed for my daughter). Incredible views from the room. The staff was wonderful and very keen to help. Play area had enough to entertain kids of different ages. The shuttle to the beach made our stay very comfortable, it was very easy to arrange and meant we didn’t need to drive during our stay. Swimming pool area was great, plenty of space to relax and no fighting for sunbeds. Breakfast was again great and started at 7am, which makes a difference for your families. We will be back!

We honestly loved it! You could consider opening the playroom earlier, we would have loved to spend some time there after breakfast when it was still too cold to be outside (currently opens at 10am). It would mean parents can take little ones there and free up the breakfast area for the other guests/ have a coffee on their own. And if I’m doing a wish list for when we return next year… a heated pool ;)
