the hot tub and steam room were out of order and it felt a bit weird walking through the dining room to get to the pool and gym

The hotel is truly beautiful, featuring lovely common areas and modern rooms. Its location is excellent, situated in the historical center of Viana. Breakfast offers abundant variety and is served in an elegant room, accompanied by live music, which greatly enhances the overall experience.

The staff seemed inadequately trained, which detracted from the overall experience. Our check-in process took more than 30 minutes, primarily due to the receptionist in glasses who was extremely slow and unprofessional, struggling to determine if the room was ready (check-in is from 14:00, and we arrived at 14:40). The breakfast area was overcrowded, with tables situated too close to one another and the food stations, causing guests to disturb each other while passing and selecting food. The shower lacked a curtain or glass partition, causing water to spill onto the floor and leave it wet. The experience of staying in this hotel had the potential to be magical if it weren't for the shortcomings of the employees and management.

The Bed and Linen simply divine I could have stayed in bed all day .

no shower door only issue . a bathroom design fault . sadly neighbours of hotel have dogs that bark at night

The standard of customer service is excellent here from the minute you walk in the door. Breakfast was the best I've had in Portugal and the flower was a lovely touch - thank you.

The location in the centre of town was perfect. The staff went above and beyond to see what I needed I got. A excellent hotel to stay in

My husband and I enjoyed a very relaxing, comfortable stay at this lovely hotel, which is centrally located. We were impressed by the breakfast buffet, but especially the live piano music that accompanied our meal. Such a lovely surprise to open our room door and hear the music throughout the hotel. On two occasions, I was given a flower during the meal, too. Staff were accommodating and helpful, and it was also nice to have complimentary water in the room, as well as a tea kettle. Our room had a small balcony with a view of St. Luzia mountain and the beautiful church.

The location and breakfast offered were outstanding. The staff demonstrated exceptional professionalism and friendliness. The spacious and comfortable common areas downstairs were a notable highlight. The decor was aesthetically pleasing and beautiful.

We were disappointed with our reservation for a Double or Twin Room with Balcony. According to the description on Booking, it was supposed to be 30 m2 in size. However, in reality, it turned out to be only around 15 m2, much smaller than expected. Additionally, one of the family members was unhappy with the pillows provided.

The location is excellent and there is potential to be excellent overall. It only requires management to instruct properly their staff to be more sympathetic to clients when faced with situations that are exceptional.

Breakfast is relatively basic, lacking a variety of fresh fruit (there was canned fruit!) and no sparkling water (normally hotels have it in larger bottles). My wife was feeling unwell and could not eat her breakfast. She requested a small bottle of sparkling water and the hotel charged us for it. It isn't a question of paying, it is the inability of the staff to understand the situation that makes me not willing to return.

Very clean, brand new renovation of a period property, great water pressure, super shower, stable & strong wifi and excellent a/c.

Bathroom lacked bidet, had no hooks and had only limited surfaces. As others have remarked, there is no dedicated and secure parking, although free uncovered off street parking is available 5 minutes walk away. The hotel has arranged with a public covered car park a special fee which whilst at a huge discount seemed eye wateringly expensive for Portugal. The seating arrangements for breakfast was uncomfortable, the tables being arranged so close to one another. At busy times the current arrangement works against the hotels appeal.

Good central location. Good selection for breakfast. Comfortable bed. Nice towels and bed linen. Bottled water provided. Our third floor room had a pleasant little balcony overlooking nearby rooftops, with both sun and shade most of the time

The reception seemed understaffed. It took a while to check in. Although we could unload our car at the hotel the actual car park was elsewhere and we had to rejoin the congested traffic and take a slightly complicated route to reach it. Admittedly we seem to have arrived at a particularly busy time.
