Location is great for tours, as most of them will start/end or pass by near the Waterfront area. Near to a mall and decent restaurants, if that's your thing. Very handy location to be able to walk to ferry port, for tours to Robben Island. Rooms are spacious. There's a bar for socialising. Literally right next to a supermarket, which is very handy. Nice secure area, didn't feel uneasy in this area.

It's a typical large hostel, so less homely than others. Harder to connect with people (compared to other hostels i stayed at) if you're 35+, as it seems most people staying here are in the younger bracket. Opposite end of the city compared to other hostels, that have a view of Table Mountain/Lion's Head, which i preferred.

Location was awesome. The facilities that they have, like the bar and grill, kitchen, pool and chill areas. Staff were helpful, and always pleasant.

So went out and came back around 5am, guests are given an access code so they can access the premises. I had a staff member screaming at me and asking me what room number I am in. How would I even get in if I dont have a code. I felt he was very rude and in no way should he use that tone of voice on any guest. Every other staff member was awesome. So the room I stayed in had a tree behind it, and when stuff fell from the tree, it made these loud noices on the roof that kept me from sleeping. Other than these two things, this place was just amazing and awesome.

A good hostel with everything you need. Big kitchen, large common areas to work and study, everything was clean, toilets, kitchen, showers, rooms and common parts. nice bar to have a drink, pool table, nice outside area with tables and chairs, small swimming pool, they close too early for drinks but plenty of more places to go. Good breakfast, lunch and dinner at good value, supermarket just right next to the hostel as well as plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes. Beds were made everyday which is nice, free towel. The V&A Waterfront is just 10 minutes walk, Not recommended to hang around by yourself at night outside, rough looking people after sunset as everywhere in Cape Tow, Uber or if with friends is fine. Security guy by the entrance at night. Wifi was terrible in the room, the room was a bit noisy as it was facing the main road, secure parking available, many activities organised by the hostel, would definably recommend staying here.

No privacy curtains in the bunkbeds, front dorm was very noisy as it was facing the main street, Wifi was terrible inside the room, by reception it was fine,

Amazing hostel, wish we had found it sooner! 24 hour check in was really useful and there were loads of activities arranged by the hostel including hikes, tours etc. which we wish we would have had more time to make the most of. The room was very clean and comfortable with toiletries and tea, coffee and kettle facilities, and the common areas were kept clean and tidy and were great for relaxing and hanging out. The pool area was especially fab! Also great location a short walk to the waterfront. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

- Great budget choice for not only younger people, although they are majority :) - Its in the good location (Waterfront walkable) and it felt safe - Room was clean, towels were changed daily, there were toiletries available... It is rather small but you wont stay in the room anyway. It is equipped with water heater with complementary tea and coffee and hair drier, too - Staff is helpful, kind, prompt and fun - Hostel is organizing number of activities daily, so you may always have more company and ideas on what to do and where to go - Breakfast was nice and served fast and drinks are affordable. There is also a common kitchen and fridges to keep your own stuff - There is a bar with pool and some evening events, which closes at 22h as a noise mitigation measure - Outdoor area is pleasant to chill, but there is also space if you want to be more secluded, for example to work - Shout out to young European volunteers for creating group cohesion and facilitating nice experiences

- Noise due to generator (indeed, power cuts are not hostel's fault) and ACs

This place is by far the best option you can choose. The location is great, safe neighborhood, close to food and entertainment options, clean room, great food, good parties, they arrange and organize the tours for you, the service at the reception, guards, restaurant and the people who clean the rooms was awesome. The place is run by Phil, great guy with a lot of good attitude and organizing some amazing tours. Walking distance to the main attractions. Highly recommend this place.

The hostel is very clean and well organised The staff are super friendly and ready to help It seems the hostel recruits local people and not western backpack volunteers, so it seems like they are investing in their community Someone always cleaned the room and made the bed which was a surprise for a hostel Great location, it's near the waterfront, and right next to a supermarket and restaurant

It was hard to meet other backpackers there, it attracted local young people who were working in the area. They were really nice but it meant it was hard to meet other people to hang out with, which you need when it gets dark as they say no one should walk alone at night The beds are comfy, but getting up onto the top bunk can be a little difficult

The location was very central to everything in Greenpoint so very nice for someone visiting for the first time. The rooms were clean. Someone comes to clean the entire room very thoroughly every day like in a hotel which is something you don't see in hostels often. There's a bar and restaurant so it's a very lit hostel with a lot of young people. 99% of the employees were very welcoming and accommodating. The beds were comfortable compared to other hostels.

The only thing I didn't like is this red headed white guy at the front desk. He was so rude to me when I checked in that I told the other desk person that I would like to cancel my reservation. She was amazing and convinced me to stay. She said that one guy was rude to everyone. I'm glad I stayed when I was able to avoid this guy because everyone else was great 👍🏽

The bed got some sands at first, but after reporting it to the staffs and they were super helpful, quickly changed the bedsheets afterwards. Location is perfect, just a 15 mins walk to V&A waterfront but just don't walk alone at night, met some creepy people along the way. Lots of activities provided at the hostel.

The rate might be a little expensive but i think that's fine because we all know how expensive Cape Town is compared to other cities in South Africa.
