The Manor House at the Queen Victoria Hotel by NEWMARK

The location, service , and room was excellent. Separate sleeping, bath, and sitting areas. The bathroom and walk in shower was very large. My husband was able to use the separate sitting area at night to surf the internet and not disturb my sleep. We felt safe with the security guard presence in the courtyard when we returned from the V&A Waterfront at nights.

The WI-FI was unsecured with no password. Would be nice to add a layer of security.

All the staff were so very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate any requests we had. Nothing was too much bother. The Manor House is just lovely and we will certainly be back. We have travelled to many countries but I can say hand on heart that we’ve never had such a wonderful welcome as this.

Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms and a great location right next to the V & A Waterfront. Beds were very comfortable. Restaurant staff were great.

The reception staff were not helpful in attending to issues and requests. My aircon was broken upon arrival. Despite multiple requests to have this fixed, I was not assisted and it was not working for my whole stay. One doesn't pay for a 5 star hotel so that you can end up sitting in a hot room. I didn't have a "Do Not Distrurb" sign in my room. It took two days of asking multiple times to get this. This isn't what I'd expect from a 5 star hotel and for this reason I would not choose this hotel in future.

One word to describe the experience of staying at the Manor House is perfection. We were welcomed back like family, from our stay a year ago. The room (1404) is very spacious, beautifully decorated, huge bathroom with an amazing shower. Comfy bed, great WiFi. Excellent location for access to the Waterfront. Very safe and secure. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and a real asset to this Hotel. Delicious breakfast, make sure you give yourself enough time and go with an emoty tummy ☺️

The entire staff was so welcoming and helpful. I was sad to leave them. Llewelyn was especially great, as was the bartender No More. I world like to again say thank you to them snd to everyone else!

Superbly located for the V&A Waterfront. Very comfortable junior suite which with a very large bathroom. Breakfast had everything you could want with a choice of buffet or hot breakfast. All the staff were very engaging and helpful.

There is not a lot to dislike about this hotel.

Spacious bathroom, wonderful beds and linen. A short walk to the Saturday market (Oranjezicht), shops, museum, restaurants. Table mountain visible from the bedroom. Delicious, elegant breakfasts with a smiling Carol.

Bedroom is on the very busy road with the parking garages and all day, all night music from the restaurants and street artists. (Room)windows are not soundproof. No tumble dryer as stated in the description.

This is a beautiful hotel in a convenient location. The staff is friendly and efficient, the service impeccable, and the breakfast delicious.

Our stay could not have been better.

the manor house is a beautiful stay and offers everything you might need. amazing breakfast, the staff is super friendly and went above and beyond for every request or question we had. the location is perfect, right in front of the Waterfront and the area is safe as well. we enjoyed our stay a lot and would come back if the opportunity arises!

I didn’t mind that the pool was rather small because the garden is beautiful and it’s a nice area to relax. It could be captured a bit better via the pictures that the pool is relatively small.

The rooms are very comfortable and enough space. View is good. Restaurant is very good and bar is a good place for a drink.

Our bath was leaking and after mentioning it was not solved. One major bottle neck was the amount of warm water. 3/4 day we had only cold water for showering…
