Kleinkaap Boutique Hotel

The check-in process was smooth, the members of staff very friendly and responsive to our queries/requests. We ordered a picnic in their gardens and it was delicious. The room and bathroom were spacious, clean, and elegantly decorated with antique furniture and white linen.

Overall the stay was great. There were two African Grey Parrots kept in an enclosure on the grounds. While they are in good health, it would be nice to see the existence of some enrichment in the way of wooden toys/blocks/ropes for them since they're highly intelligent and need stimulation.

The breakfast was excellent. Good coffee, plenty of fruit and good variety of baked goodies. I didn't have a cooked breakfast but I'm sure it was excellent.

I found the lighting in the bedroom a bit insufficient and there should have been a light switch for the bathroom closer to the bathroom. There should also be more sockets for charging phones etc. I had to unplug the desk lamp in order to be able to plug in my phone, and could not charge phone and laptop at the same time.

The breakfast buffet was superb! A very wide variety, fresh and everything one could wish for. The gardens and outside setting in the heart of a city is quite exceptional - tranquil and relaxing. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff who went out of their way to go the extra mile in more than one way, is more than anything else the reason why I can whole heartedly recommend this hotel.

Gorgeous building and garden. Very posh setting. Bed was comfortable and huge rooms. The bathroom was beautiful and they provided bath tub natural scents, which gives that special touch. The breakfast is unreal with loads of fresh fruit, biltong, cheese and breads. Cooked breakfast also available. Aircon was ok...I would have liked it colder.

Kleine Kaap is a beautiful hotel kept in pristine condition by owners and friendly staff who cares. It makes you wonder who are the people who frequented the hotel in years gone by?

The hotel is hidden a bit when you get there the first time, but once you know how to get there it was easy. There are beautiful trees to park the car in the shade, but there are also plenty birds in the trees. So expect a little mess every morning.

Indoor seating areas for guests limited. I was asked to leave a lounge because the hotel had rented it out to a group. The only other Indoor area available was limited seating in Reception . The area was essentially a through route for staff and clients so it was not very restful or private.

We liked that we booked very last minute and there were no complications. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bonsai's were very impressive and the breakfast was delicious..

It was such a great pity that there was a guy with a very loud leaf blower that started outside our room around 7am and continued through breakfast, putting a damper on what was a delicious breakfast as the petrol fumes eminated through the breakfast room. Maybe a conventional broom until after breakfast should be a consideration 🤷‍♀️

Everything from facilities, catering, and staff was exceptional. We loved our room, enjoyed the breakfast buffet and restaurant meals were devine, all staff were welcoming and friendly and provided great customer service.

Would just recommend that the bathroom(bath/shower) taps be able to run a higher pressure of water at once.

The breakfast unfortunately was not so impressive. It looked REALLY amazing, but some of the basic things were not in order in my opinion. The croissants were hard/old, the tea/coffee station was a mess... no teaspoons, no tea and when we ordered they served our table cold coffee on more than one occasion.
