Casa Seorak Bed and Breakfast

My girlfriend and I had a fantastic stay at Casa Seorak. Everything was perfect. The location is in a cute and quiet village surrounded by vegetable gardens halfway between Sokcho city and the Seoraksan park. Both are easily accessible via the local bus 7 or 7-1 and the neighborhood has some decent and affordable restaurants, with Korean and European options. The room was spacious and super clean. The breakfast was plenty, tasty and freshly made. Above all, our host was the friendliest we ever had! He gave us great tips on where to go in the area, including hiking, sightseeing, the beach and restaurants. He even insisted on bringing us to the bus terminal. Thank you so much for everything!

Nothing, it was simply perfect!

It's quiet and peaceful, just the holiday we wanted. Room was clean and spacious, even has our own pantry. Breakfast was served in the room as well. We've our own balcony overseeing the mountains which was great to have our afternoon tea. Our host even briefed us on the places to explore and food recommendations. Which turned out really great - the Korean grill nearby is a must try!

It's a little bit of distance to walk to the nearest bus stop, and the buses aren't that frequent (we waited 1 hour for our bus back to the city). Would recommend taking taxi if you're in a rush or with luggages. I still love this place anyway!

We loved this place! It felt like staying in a home rather than a hotel. The room had everything we needed and there were so many thoughtful touches. Great wifi. Loved the breakfast as well. Juha was very helpful answering our questions in advance and providing directions, as well as restaurant recommendations nearby. 100% recommend staying here if you’re going to Seoraksan national park. The bus to the park stops right outside.

Nothing. I just wish we had stayed for 3 nights instead of 2, as our journey from Seoul took longer than expected.

Fantastic place to stay close to the city and the National Park. Juha is a brilliant host, he could not have been more helpful and nothing was to much trouble. He advised us on hiking, restuarants, buses and sights to visit and helped my husband find a good morning run. The room is larger than expected with a sea view. Quiet peaceful village almost in the country. Bus stop for NP and city about 4 min walk away, also a great Korean restaurant which we ate in both nights. Wish we had been staying longer. Bonus was the breakfast of toast and jam, eggs and sausages with salad, fruit juice and fresh fruit. Free tea and coffee all day.

Nothing, it was the best place we stayed in all our 6 weeks in Korea.

I felt welcome here from the first minute and could explore the city, mountains and local dishes thanks to the good recommendations of the host. The host ist really kind and helpful and speaks English well. The location of the guesthouse is between the city and Seoraksan National Park but in a quiet rural area. The next bus stop is in walking distance. I really liked the room and the view from the balcony. Breakfast was great and brought to the room. I would have enjoyed it to stay longer.

This was by far our most beautiful stay in South Korea. Do not expect a hyper-luxury but anonymous stay. This is more as coming home or the visit of a good friend. The location between Sokcho and National Park is ideal. As already described by many guests, the owner is very helpful and gave us a lot of helpful tips for hiking and eating out. We rented a car and were able to explore the area very well. Unfortunately we rented only 3 nights, but next time we will try to book a longer period.

Where is nothing which could be better!

The hosts are super friendly and helpful, went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Just perfect. They really helped us. The breakfasts were very tasty and delivered to the room door. We stayed 8 nights and there was always something to do. There are beautiful mountains in the Seoraksan park for hiking, beaches in walking distance and cool Sokcho town is really close too.

The beaches were not accessible for swimming due to big waves

The host was the absolute sweetest. He spoke great English and gave us a map of the area. Took time to explain everything and how far away it was. Also pointed out the top attractions. The room was spacious and clean. We loved having the kitchenette with the fridge. The host also makes breakfast (French toast, toast, eggs, fruit) and delivered it to the room each morning! The location was back in a quiet area but easily accessible to hiking and town! There were also a couple restaurants within walking distance. If we come back to this area we would definitely stay again :)

Nothing! It was a 10 min drive to Sokcho so if you wanted something where you could walk to town this wouldn't be the place, but it's perfect for a quite stay for hiking and some sightseeing. Driving into town was super easy!

The owner was very nice and helpful with whatever we needed (ordering a taxi for example). The room is wonderful, nicely decorated, very clean and there's a lot of space. We loved the location, the view of the balcony is amazing. There's a bus stop nearby that goes to Sokcho or straight to seoraksan international park - very convient since that's why we were there!

The bus timetable isn't very trustworthy, they almost seem to come at random times.. you can always take a taxi though if you're tight on time.

Casa Seorak was our favorite place we stayed in all of Korea. Our room was very quiet, spacious, and comfortable, and the whole property is charming and meticulously maintained. Best of all, is the personal atmosphere and special touches offered, such as complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby, and enjoying a home-prepared breakfast in our room each morning. Unfortunately our stay was only for 2 nights and we didnt have the opportunity to use many of the kitchen amenities offered in our room, or our very pleasant balcony (due to rain). Juha was a true pleasure and so accommodating at every point during our stay. We would highly recommend Casa Seorak.

The location is outside of town. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance but not much else.
